I think I will go back to my Firefox and Sandboxie setup for a while.

I'm somewhat considering doing the same purely because I don't want my lifetime subscription to go to waste.

Not really a problem, but over the past months I have made the following experience. I have been using using Chrome for several weeks with AdBlock. Then I have been using Firefox for several weeks with AdBlock Edge and NoScript among others. After that I have been using Chrome for another couple of weeks with either AdBlock, Ghostery or HTTP Switchboard, but never combined.

I have gotten the impression that Firefox harmonizes better with content control extensions like NoScript or AdBlock. I don't know how to put it exactly, put Firefox always seems so much smoother than Chrome, even if Chromes runs just with HTTP Switchboard and LastPass. Extensions like AdBlock in Chrome seem to be an additional burden to the browser process, especially when there is a lot to be blocked. I don't have that impression with Firefox.

added mbam pro realtime. I might just replace Windows Defender with it although Version 1.75 is quiet heavy on the ram. 120-130mb.

I'm excited about Version 2.00 final;)

Sometimes higher RAM usage means less impact on system performance (less disk I/O activity). That's why I don't judge AV's impact on system by it's memory usage.

I removed COMODO Internet Security from my computer. The issues with the firewall allowing all connections was never resolved, and from my experience today with their GeekBuddy agent on my computer I have lost my faith in them as a company with any sort of integrity, or honesty.

Unfortunately some people fail to get that, and seem to think the more RAM use equals a bigger hit on system performance, when really matters is CPU and disk use.

There's an interesting history there, some of it is recorded at Wilders.

I've added Online Armor without the HIPS turned on.

Thanks jmonge, I think so too, and it's good having outbound info.

How are you liking WSA? I'm kind of missing it. And ESET. I saw in the interview with the founder of MBAM he put in a good word for ESET.

Replaced WSA with Immunet, because that is going to happen eventually anyhow. I disliked the BrightCloud web filter as well, too many FP's and unnecessary categories.
Replaced SecurityKISS with CyberGhost again. The 300 MB limit is too low after all, especially compared to unlimited. Didn't notice much of a difference in speed.

Rather large yet subtle change. Am now running Windows 7 Home Premium with Software Policy instead of Applocker. Also am using EaseUS Todo instead of AX64. Oh yea and added SUMo as well. I'm also trying out LastPass so I may give up KeePass.

I assume you weren't using AppLocker on Windows 7 Home Premium.

No, I was running AppLocker on Ultimate. Switched to HP for a less "bloated" install. Going to be stripping it down soon too.

I have the same problem on Windows 8.1 X64. Have you found any solution to this problem?

Nothing really, except a little bit about the new webfilter's aggressiveness (easily bypassed). It's just I won't be keeping it anyhow (was on Broncos trial), and I wanted try out the new Immunet.

I heard its detection has improved a bit and even saw it detect hard-to-find ransomware on VT logs. Hope it becomes a good product again.

Presently giving eset av 7 and outpost firewall a spin, they work great together and light on resource.
