Added MBAM Pro thanks to ChicaPC-Shield giveaway. Removed Peerblock, because it won't update my lists anymore.

All of my software are either freeware, giveaways, or old free versions. See signature for more details.

I'm a security enthusiast with risky browsing behaviour who goes through a lot of unknown software for PBFSLW. My system is still running without visible issues after Windows Update and test files/sites.

Maybe, maybe not. It depends on the software themselves.

Block Hackers & Quarantine Hacker Files
Block Keyloggers, Webcam Spies & More Malware Your Antivirus Misses

PerfectGuard® antilogger protects you in real-time against Internet threats like unknown "zero day" malware -- something most antivirus software can't do.

•Keeps your private PC activities private:
    •Everything typed into your keyboard
    •What's displayed on your monitor
•What your webcam sees & hears
    •Copy/paste activities with your clipboard
•Designed to be used with your existing antivirus as an additional layer of protection
•Patches up flawed antivirus software with security vulnerabilities

    how is it?

Looking on download.com. The GUI looks awful familiar like Zemena. Might be a re-badge.

I thought the same, but then found out that it only updates once a week now, unless you have a paid subscription.

Huh, so even once a day is too much for iBlockList?

Likely...someone has to pay the bills when you have worldwide users attempting to pulldown the lists mulitple times per day...more info here:

    http://www.peerblock.com/news/139.html

Is $10.00/yr too much to pay?

I was certain it was once a day and experienced as such for a few months, but it's once a week huh.

Oh well, I only pay for what's necessary or at least stands out within my interests.

After a little hiatus, I turned UAC and Applocker back on.

Huuuhuuu.... I want to use AppLocker. :'(

Seriously, why don't they just give it to anyone with group policy editor? I thought it was supposed to replace SRP?

" If you are getting "Update limit exceeded" or "Error Contacting URL: 400" errors when PeerBlock attempts to update lists, this is why."

Not noticed these errors apart from once yesterday.

Does it also just show a "no update needed" answer as well when people are being stopped from updating daily?

I've uninstalled Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete. I really like WSA, but do not want to spend money on another five seat license. With MSE (perhaps avast! eventually), MBAM PRO and WinPatrol PLUS (both lifetime licenses), I think I'll be covered. I also have a lifetime Sandboxie license I may dust off soon.
