What is your security setup these days?

    Good going with WSA.:thumb:

    Let me ask you something. How does you computer feel with Avast IS and WSA with 2GB RAM? Does it feel heavy? What about scan durations? Did the average scan duration of avast! and WSA increase?

    I'll have to check it out. I was using Avast! with restrictions so it only actively scanned my downloads folder but the popups about their "special offers" and such got annoying.

    To me, 6.2 was heavy. No idea about the current releases.

  6. Windows 7 Ultmate 32 bits (E5200 dual core at 3 GHZ with SSD + 2xHDD + NAS & WL Router)

    Windows execution control
    - Deny file execution (exe) access in drive-by folders & USB (ACL)
    - Deny execute for Basic Users of all executables in user folders (SRP)
    - Deny elevation/installation of unsigned programs & drivers for all (UAC)

    Addtional intrusion mitigation
    - Internet Explorer 11 in protected mode (low rights)
    - Memory Intrusion Protection (EMET), lots of hardening (GPO)
    - Disabled risk-ware services & Windows FireWall also blocks out-bound

    On demand
    - HitManPro Free scheduled after MS patch Tuesday and image backup (monthly)

    I see that the webshield in online armor free is disable and can not turn back on:thumbd: is it a conflict with nod32 antivirus and mbampro or what?

    I feel nothing at all :D Avast2014 IS uses 3mb on idle and 9mb while scanning...on the other hand, WSA uses unbelievably 500kb or less while idle and 2mb or less while scanning... I actually scan my laptop once a month with avast so I can't accurately determine if there is a change or improvement in scan duration...

    I removed Nod32 v7 beta and installed final version.
    I also removed EMET and replaced OpenDNS with Norton DNS.
    The rest of my setup is in my sig.

    removed Mbam Pro as it slowed down system :thumbd:

    i have same as you buddy webroot and nod32 antivirus in real time and i feel secure :) in one computer i have the trio with mbampro too :) sincerelly jmonge
