You cant exclude Windows updates. Even if they could be excluded, they wouldn't stick because a reboot is required. If you are going to use SD, its better to turn off WU and update manually out of Shadow mode.

Due to some recent issues with the latest incarnation of EAM (as well as beta) greatly slowing down my system and playing havoc with services.exe, I've made the following changes:

Real-time: Sandboxie, Online Armor Premium, MBAM Pro

On Demand: HitmanPro, Shadow Defender, Drive Snapshot & Macrium Reflect

Running nice and light without any performance issues (that I'm aware of).

I'm getting the shakes and the cold sweat again. It's been too long since the last "sincerely... securon" update. Come on, I need my fix. Maybe a "sincerely jmonge"? Pretty please...

Removed Avira free (i am not a fan of changing often the AV,but too many months of poor detection) and installed from a promo AVG AV Pro one year free trial. So now i have AVG Pro,Privatefirewall,Sandboxie and Wondershare TimeFreeze.

You are welcome jmonge. I know you like trying programs a lot. So, even if after a few days you decide not to use SD for security, keep the program. You can always use it for trying programs that don't require a reboot. Thats how I use SD, it works great for that.

AppGuard is a good malware blocker so with maybe mbampro or hitmanpro i am well covered but you never know :)i was thinking of defensewall but they dont have a 64 bit version as now so for the moment is appguard:thumb:
i dont know if online armor will die and i hope it is me cause i feel the development for it it is a litle slow these days

It won't. Emsisoft is slow but that's because they make sure everything is ready so they won't have a buggy release. If OA died then I'll bury myself in the lake. :argh:

Speaking of OA, now I just put HKLM\Software\Classes on the registry shield rule. Might want to playing around with HKUS keys later.

that's what i really like about online armor and it is the registry protection and also can be configurable:thumb:
note:i hope they improved it and make it looks better

I kinda wish OA will have an adblocker though, like Outpost if I'm not mistaken. Adblock Plus doesn't work really well in Chrome.

Yeah, MVPS HOSTS is pretty good. Problem is, I don't trust any hosts file managers out there yet too lazy to update it myself. :)

Takes 2 seconds to update the Mvps hosts file.

You won't believe I'm too lazy just to download it from the author's website and then overwrite the HOSTS file. :D

    :D :D mee too
note:i personally want to avoid bloated and heay internet security programs or antivirus/antimalwares :)
with hitmanpro and some tweaks plus proactive protection programs it is safe, fast and less headaches
