Finished a trial of VoodooShield. After fixing a VoodooShield/Sandboxie/Chrome conflict by unchecking 'Drop rights' in Sandboxie, VoodooShield seems a good fit with my other programs so it's staying installed.

Securon, may I ask you why you did not like EAM V8?
    Thanks

  3. You can use StripMyRight also as debugger by adding the executable name in the image file execution options, see example for windows media player:

    Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\wmplayer.exe

Settings: see picture (the same for all applications reduced / stripped rights through StripMyRights, e.g. mail, mediaplayer, pdf-reader, etc)

Put StripMyRights in windows directory. This way the application will allways be started without Admin rights (not only from short cut).

So key for chrome would be: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\chrome.exe
    for outlook : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\outlook.exe
    (allways with the same debugger command StripMyRights.exe /D /L N )

Great combo. I was using Voodooshield before NVT. I like it a lot and it was very easy to use.

Good Afternoon! Antarctica!...I have a license for EAM so in my case as your probably aware...one of many licenses...I know that the new V8 is a meaningful improvement performance wise over version 7...But I was curious as to what Avira's 2013 had under the hood! Well I'm pleasantly surprised at how light and smooth the new version is. Too me like many of us the surfing experience should be quick and responsive...and Avira so far has most assuredly provided this. And you can also eliminate the Toolbar add-on...I think the furor...must of reached the decision makers at Avira...the point being stick too what gained you your reputation...stay true to the course...and the customer will stay loyal! Anyhow enough with the grass root philosophizing...Lol! And as you know Wilders promotes a healthy sense of curiosity to it's members...in wanting to Know! Hope that will provide you with some insight! Sincerely...Securon

Good to know that you liked it. I've had it about a week and so far it's fitting in. Did you see that VoodooShield is giving 1 year licenses for free until the 11th? Information about it is at the VS thread here.

Here's the link to the free year form at VoodooShield: http://voodooshield.com/freeoffer/

It'd be great if it was for 3 pcs.:D Also is there any shelf life? I mean can I use the free 1 yr license say after 3 months and I would get 1 yr from that instance?

    Best Wishes,
    Amit

Not sure when the license begins, Amit. But if you ask in the VoodooShield thread you'll get a quick answer. Dan is there from VS and he worked with me over a couple of days of emails about a conflict I was having with VS/Sandboxie/Chrome until we got it sorted out. Top-rate customer service as they get VS ready for wide release.

Yeah, i feel comfortable with my current setup and OA is not really noisy. In fact it rarely shows any pop ups. (I have all auto decision features disabled but i did run them initially for a couple days so it creates a set of rules before disabling them)

They might hold the record for security software setups.

Which one would you put in your setup over the other.

    1. I would run AppGuard

    2. I would run EMET

I ask because I was thinking about running this...

    1.

    NoVirusThanks EXE Radar Pro
    HitmanPro.Alert
    Sandboxie
    AppGuard

Or, I can just stick with what I already have in place

    2.

    NoVirusThanks EXE Radar Pro
    HitmanPro.Alert
    Sandboxie
    EMET 4

I'm pretty much set on NoVirusThanks EXE Radar Pro, HitmanPro.Alert and Sandboxie.

I'm just contemplating between AppGuard and EMET.

Why removed DW? It's sitting in my pc quietly. I don't feel it's there. :)
