You're living on the wrong side of the border for that.

Guess I will be pretty soon. I realize that XP is the model T Ford of computing....

I just installed Bitdefender free. I have been using Avast forever, but Have noticed a conflict with ExploitShield, and have been concerned about bloat and lag in the tightened version of Avast. So, I guess it's back to the drawing board. Quite some time ago, Bitdefender was the best AV in comparable tests. I have used it as a post mortem scanner. Now, I am going to run the free version, "with shields", the difference now and then, is I am running Sandboxie, which should be excellent alongside of Bitdefender. We shall see....Edited- I use Opera, won't have anything Google on my machine, have rooted it out of startup/INI, Tskmgr, and blocked it in firewall.

Been using Defensewall Personal Firewall for almost a week now. Already purchased a key.
Won't use anything else ever (at least on this PC).

NVT EXE Radar Pro and Defensewall would be the only things I would use if there was just a Windows 8 x64 version of Defensewall:(
