Some tweaking tips for WSA https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=2155294&postcount=27724

Note picture 1 right is for HTTP websites (security higher than default), for HTTPS I have the default. You can also drop spyware blaster with WSA

Windows Ultimate x32 lazy admin setup using the build-in protection of the OS, Chrome's build-in to sandbox and ExploitShield.

    Firewall
Router with Open DNS and Windows 7 internal FW setup two way (block outbound also)

    Real time protection
    1. Threatgates containment
Disabled USB autoplay/execute USB through GPO. Added ACL deny "Traverse folder/execute" for everyone on Download, mail and media folder.

    2. Internet Protection & Privacy
Using Chrome started with --no-referrers and --incognito switches, using Startpage for search. Set Chrome to 'click to play' for Flash plug-in and allowing javascript only from top domains COM and NL. Chrome extensions: new tab behaviour (launching startpage) and bookmarks menu. Added Exploitshield Browser edition. 1806 regtweak to prevent unintended download of executables.

    3. User Space protection
Added EMET to all user programs. Software Restriction Policies: set "Basic User" as the default level, for all files, except Administrator. This prevents all executable files from executing in user directories (outside safe places like Windows/Program Files directories), but allows to run using "Run as Administrator".

    4. Admin Space protection
Set UAC to full, disable intelligent installer recognition, disabled unsigned programs to elevate. Application Control (AppLocker) only for executables and MSI (allow everyone from safe places) plus Allow for Administrators in Temp dir and Deny for Administrator for Temp directory, except a few trusted publishers. Temp acts as install directory limiting SRP "admin" hole to a specific directory and specific publishers

    On demand scan check
    HitmanPro (early warning)

    Backup/Imagine
Windows own image backup and Synctoy free for quick data backup (to 2nd HD). Contineous automatic data backup to NAS.

I resolve to make 2013 exactly like 2012, by sticking with the same security setup... Sandboxie and some other stuff. ;)

How does Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition and Comodo Firewall 6 get along with one another? Are you experiencing any slowdowns or interference?

    Windows 8 & NoScript.

NoScript has been keeping my system safe for almost a year now.
on either Linux Mint or Win 7 & Win 8.

and not only safe but it cuts down a lot on the bandwidth sucking add/trackware etc

    Bullguard 12 Internet Security
    Sandboxie
    WSA AV
Wow. Everything running smoothly. Bullguard is running around 45k. Not too bad for a two AV suite. Might even ditch WSA if all goes well.

Could NoScript do the same things as Adblock Plus and Ghostery? When I've tried NoScript in the past it has been a pain to manage, to the point I just never learned how to deal with it, but if it can replace those two and give some extra security, I'll look into it again.
