Poor Amit. He's gone over to the darkside. Careful Amit or you'll be sucked into the vortex and end up in the distrosphere.

Amit no longer exists my friend. I'm Wolverine. And I can recover from any psychological trauma in a matter of minutes. As Forge once called my physical and mental state "equivalent of an Olympic-level gymnast performing a gold medal routine while simultaneously beating four chess computers in his head."

Anyways, I've already been to Hell when Red Right Hand tricked me to save my girlfriend Melita Garner (who was Mystique in disguise) and then trapped me in a mystical circle to send me straight to Hell where my body was possessed my a group of demons. And distrosphere is nothing in comparison.

I would suggest to remove Lavasoft AV and Spybot. I recommend adding Sandboxie and HitmanPro.

Ah I see. What other settings have you tweaked to make BD and AG work together smoothly?

Lavasoft AV +spybot doesnt conflict anyway, i have configured them properly :)
and i have been using them for a quite long time, something like 7 years

about Hitman Pro, ill try it :)
not sure about Sandboxie though :/

That's the prob. 7 years ago they're very good. Now they are no good. With your current setup those two are absolutely unnecessary and are not gonna do anything good.

HitmanPro is just awesome as a second opinion scanner. It's a behavior based scanner which when detects a file uploads to the cloud where the file is analyzed using five major AV engines. You could use the free version to detect malware and if found you could activate the free 30 day license.

Sandboxie adds a very powerful layer in any security setup. I highly recommend it.:thumb:

The thing is that, one one hand, Lavasoft was acquired by a company of dubious nature (I wouldn't put my trust on them, at all.); on the other hand, Spybot... well ... I feel nostalgic about it... so... But, it still does provide passive protection (if TeaTimer is disabled), by immunizing the web browser, which is something that an on demand scanner such as HitmanPro cannot do. :D But, you could take care of it with something like Sandboxie... or other security policies, especially by using Windows built-in policies... so...

I removed MSE and replaced it with Nod32 v.6 RC. I just like it better :)

:O i didnt know about Lavasoft got acquired by that private fund....
gonna to uninstall it asap xD

I have never been using tea timer though, i think HIPS of comodo is far enough to protect against threats that teatimer can :p.

Still Rocking Panda Cloud Pro + Rising PC Doctor on all my machines. Rising PC Doctor seems to have improved a lot lately. Only one bug has failed to be fixed since I have reported it (Rising does not detect Panda Cloud as an active popular AV :p) but Rising has fixed many bugs since then. Its memory usage and cpu usage has dropped considerably and all the processes on my machine are now classified as safe by their cloud. If only they would add the URL filtering back into RPCD to add some protection bonus for using it.

How is RPD to Kingsoft PC Doctor compared too?

Rising PC Doctor does not have any real time antimalware protection with it. However Rising does have a cloud on-demand malware scanner. I think Risings detection rate is slightly lower due to its American Cloud Sensors being more rare so they don't get as many malware samples as Kingsoft but it seems decent. It has a nice Cloud Task Manager that I keep and taught my parents and siblings to use in case malware infects it. I personally have not used the vulnerability update checker since its not something I personally like. For like 5mbs though I find it worth it for when I want to run a backup scan on a machine who knows it may come in handy some day.
