    Clonezilla makes only cold imaging.

    That sounds reassuring. Thanx

Oh! I didn't know that. How does Clonezilla takes cold imaging? From a boot menu like Keriver Restore? Or from a boot media like linux cd or WinPE cd?

    :)

    OS:
Windows 8 Enterprise RTM x64 (90 day trial will go to W8 Pro x64 when it hits GA)

    Real time:
    Norton Internet Security 2013
    LUA
    UAC Max
    SRP
    EMET 3.5
    Norton Connect Safe DNS

    On demand:
    MBAM
    SAS
    HMP
    Secunia PSI

    Backup:
Scheduled backup via SyncToy of user directory and a few other folders to external HDD with non sensitive stuff also synced to SkyDrive.

New to the forum so any suggestions guys? I'm finding my current set up really good and light but let me know if there is any room for improvement.

Currently using NIS on a 30 day trial and really like it as I find it very well designed and light using ~16MB idle for me so may fork out for a cheap 2012 licence and upgrade. Hated KIS 2013, slowed down my PC noticeably and used tons of memory. Built in Defender was fine for me along with the built in firewall.

I've not had any issues since Windows XP so probably could do without half the stuff but gives me piece of mind and doesn't slow down my PC in any perceptible way so why not go overkill :thumb:

    Cheers

Microsoft says "No!" to insecure certificate practices
Microsoft will be shipping an update as part of October's Patch Tuesday that will invalidate RSA certificates weaker than 1024 bits. If you are using old or weak certificates now is the time to upgrade them to a more appropriate strength

From a bootable CD. It has a bit inconvenient interface though I got used to it.

I had MD installed for a day. Now I went back to SUA + SRP combination. I think I'll stay with this combo for some time.
