NextDNS set as PrivateDNS blocking virtually all TLDs, malware, tracking
Microsoft Authenticator as MFA and a password manager
No firewall, since most usable were deprecated

    Microsoft Edge for browsing
    Brave for Youtube/Google
    TOR for everything else

I was using Norton 360 including VPN on Apple devices but I switched to Adguard Pro including DNS + Adguard VPN and I'm fine with this setup. In particular, DNS filtering has a big impact on devices usage because it filters all internet traffic so all installed apps are ad-free, not just browsers. DNS is fully configurable and you can decide whether it works on wi-fi, mobile data or both. Another advantage is that Adguard VPN works great (reliably) with Adguard Pro/DNS over IPSec.

    1) Kaspersky Premium.

    2) NextDNS.

    3) Brave browser.

    4) In the developers options I have turned on Wi-Fi scan throttling, and Wi-Fi non-persistant MAC randomization.

    Dumped Google because...
Now have a Pixel 7a running GrapheneOS.
    So far, so good.

    1. On average Android mobile security can't scan the system?
    2. Is there a recommendation for Android mobile security that can scan all system applications?

Why? BlueMail and Thunderbird are the only apps that allow me to login to Outlook, not even Outlook allows me to use Outlook, rofl, but I picked BlueMail, because of sync.

    Hi,:)
    2 reasons:

    • To have the same e-mail client as in the PC.
    • 1/4 email accounts fail to send more frequently with BlueMail (I had to use manual settings) than Thunderbird.

Well I use BlueMail on both, PC and mobile, using that MagicSync code.
That is concerning, but I hardly send any mail, since I have no friends nor family, so not an issue for me.

Thanks for the input. I was wondering whether there is some valuable feature, especially security related, that I might be missing. :D

    I tried Vivaldi.

Very interesting, certainly with more privacy/security/cosmetic filtering features than Opera.
It is the only mobile browser that could replace Opera in my smartphone.
But the navigation is much more inconvenient.

    P.S.

    Cons:

    • The network filter of the internal adblocker is insufficient, you can see this problem at the CoverYouTrack test.
    • Some web sites are unreachable because they are obfuscated,so there is little attention to this issue despite the lists of ad hoc filters you can choose.
    • It is complicated to add websites to the SpeedDial.
    • URL tracking Protection (same as Opera) does not work.

    Pro:

    • Browserleaks WebRTC test is great.
    • Excellent performance on Ping and Beacon API tests.
    • Available many flags,you can enable Post-Quantum Key X25519MLKEM768.
    • It is possible to add custom lists to the internal adblocker, with some difficulty.
    P.S.

Interestingly, network filtering is more efficient, and easier to maximize, not with privacy filter lists but with Secure DNS.
Instead the blocking of ads and pop-up consent cookies is superior compared to Opera.
I remain with Android Opera browser.

Added wireless account lock to my setup above (1/6/2024 #407 post) to prevent SIM Swap/Port-Out requests.
