    I am using Avira. It's free, has excellent reviews (check out AV-comparatives), and uses very little in the way of resources. I have tried 'em all, and keep coming back to Avira for my 5 computers.

    If I had to pick I'd go with Windows Defender and build around it or choose a paid AV.

    * Avast (File Shield only)

    But I rely on VS (paid).

    WD on Win10...but only because it's there and it performs decently. Otherwise, none.

    Although it's interesting to see the development, personally I just can't be bothered to run a 3rd-party real-time AV anymore.

    Yeah, I was a bit surprised too, but they have. I found it on the swedish kaspersky site, not kaspersky. com. Been using it for a week and hasnt given me any problems, pretty basic though. Quite good for people who doesnt want to, or know how, to configure stuff. It comes with a VPN that works fine for me. Only 200MB free per day for the free version, but you get a feel for it with that.

    Is it in English language, or just Swedish?

    That is very interesting. I wonder if they have plans to release it world wide?

    Surely there has to be an english version (or that you can change the language, I will check when I come home) ? Swedish is usually not a priority language. Maybe karspersky has english version on their site? just didnt see it on the front page. Or maybe they are sneaking it out? I know from searches that Kaspersky has had a russian free version for quite some time now..

    It's most likely only in Swedish. There is a free version of Kasperky in Russian too.

    I just downloaded and launched the installer and it is in Swedish. This will be the same deal as the Russian version of Kasperksy Free and will not be able to changed to English language.

    There's an existing thread about the Russian version.
