Wouldn't surprise me that someone might attempt to cash in on this situation. I certainly have given up worrying what is going to happen next with Shadow Defender. I've written off my license and taken SD off my comp.

    Why?
it is still working without issues here.
i'll keep using it until the future OS don't support it anymore.

Good Find ichito! I have never seen this site before. It reports to be using a VeriSign Certificate out of the Netherlands. I downloaded the file they are offering to sell, and according to the MD5 checksum the file is SD version 1.1.0.320 which is not the latest version. Selling SD as a reseller just does not make since, and I have not seen anything about SD being sold. How could it even be sold with Tony being MIA? I sent an e-mail to SD support asking them to reply to our concerns in this thread.

Quite honestly this is just turning into a drama. I hope the guy (Tony) turns up safe and well, but it's just not worth the hassle with the software anymore. IMO.

There are a few improvements that could have been made to SD - Just to make thing's easier I'd have liked to see preset exclusion settings for browser's, ETC. (like Sandboxie)

I have posted to the blog at shadowdefenderdotorg as follows

"I am the global moderator at shadowdefender.com. Can you please give me an explanation as to why Shadow Defender is being sold here as a legitimate Shadow Defender site and outlet? If a realistic explanation is not forthcoming within twelve hours from now I will approach the Internet authorities including The police, Federal Bereau of Investigation and Canadian authorities. If this site is not legitimate please take it down within 12 hours.

Does anyone know if there is a limit to how many times you can activate SD?

The only reason I ask is I need to uninstall and put Returnil back on to do some testing. I already did the testing virtually and need to see if I get the same results on my main system, but I don't want to burn up my SD key.

There was no limit on versions .325 or earlier, but i don't have a clue about this mysterious version .331 that has come out of no where. I would not use it if I was you until an explanation has been given as to how it was obtained & what is going on with the future of SD. Stick with .325 & earlier, and you will be ok.

I have used Shadow Defender for a very long time, and I have reactivated SD many many times with no problem, but if there is some sort of limit then it would have to be very very high considering the number of time I have reactivated it with no problems.
