BTW I just found these figures are for Linux and Windows, and if to recalculate only for Windows:

    - 3-years average of detection: here Comodo's av is 2-nd for windows.
    - 2-years average - it's 2-nd for windows.
    - 1 year average - it's 1-st for windows.
    - 180-days and 90-days - it's 2-nd and 4-th for windows.
    - 60-days and 30-days it's 3-d for windows.

Really detection of Comodo deserves to be named one of the best.

I would not use a honeypot such as ShadowServer to judge an AV's detection rate; http://kevtownsend.wordpress.com/20...s-new-anti-virus-test-suite-–-how-good-is-it/

Comodo does not do well at another honeypot; https://threatcenter.crdf.fr/?Stats

Let's see Comodo tested at a variety of testing sites before an opinion on its AV can be stated.

Funny. That's one program that I recently determined I could do without... after a few years of thinking I couldn't.
Comodo FW/D+ has taken its place for me. ;)

It has saved me from at least 2 tiresome format/re-installs. The most recent one was when I played too much with Windows' ACL without reflecting over the consequences. ;)
So, I slipped in the cd + the external HD, and I was up and running after ~5 minutes. :thumb:

It's probably the best backup software out there.

    - requires no installation
    - handles many filesystems
    - straightforward options (I just press "enter" all the way)
    - checks the backup' integrity

FD-ISR, my face may change alot, but the tendons holding it on, never do. And I am fortunate to own both the original and lite version. Greatest software ever created.

I wrote that I missed EMET a few pages ago. I don't miss it at all anymore thanks to PaX. I'm much more attached to Apparmor.

    Concerning Clonezilla:
Clonezilla it is for me, too.
But you sure are fortunate with that 5 minutes. With me it's more like 45 (on Linux).

If google chrome counts as a security program then it would be it.
