if you upgrade from a windows 7 retail license what happens to your new windows 10 license, if for example you decide to upgrade some components of your system that would in the win7 retail license need activation changes. what would happen if the activation change needs to be done outside the 1yr free upgrade period, would you need to buy a new license for win10 or is the license converted from win7 retail to win10 retail
