I have 2 computers with XP SP3 . Now one of them won't get to the internet thru internet explorer. It will with FireFox. This just started. What do I need to check?

I don't understand, but now it is connecting. The computer has a mind of its own. For some reason it will change my default E Mail to Outlook and I have to change it back.

You may want to disable add ons and try to connect. If that works then try your add ons one at a time until you find one that is the problem. You could also try IE without add ons somewhere under system tools or accessories (not sure) in the start menu. Or in IE just go to tools, internet options, advanced and hit reset. That will reset IE to its original state so try it as a last resort.

Try opening the IE browser program before connecting to the Internet.

if you have one of those 24/7 never shut down type of systems, then ignore the above.
