    Hay59 .

Very good observation . Outpost 2.5 has changed dramatically and is a great firewall . I find it humorous that someone here feels LnS is easier than Outpost . They must be joking . Outpost will hold your hand from the install onward . Too easy actually . I also use pcIP . Excellent at what it does .

I tried all the rest and I conclude - Outpost pro is best.

OutpostPro 2.5.375.374 is finally what I had always expected from a firewall. Notice that I had been dissatisfied with OutpostPro 2.5.370.370

Look n Stop has the reputation of being an exceptionnally good product, too. My preference still remains to Outpost, since I've never been able to have LnS work fine on any of my machines. Out of the box protection was simply insufficient as far as what I've experienced. Just my humble experience, though.

    Thats a good result.
I would hope almost all of the members of Wilders Security Forums would be able to get a similar result unless they have services that they run open to the web.
There are several more specific checks selectable from the menu on the left with a little more detail included.

    Stealth check (Kerio 2.15)

Ideally your status should be "Blocked". This indicates that your ports are not only
closed, but they are completely hidden (stealthed) to attackers.

Yep, thats the sort of good result to look for. Gone forever (i hope) are the windows 95 days of open computing. That was when you computer was open to the internet and it didn't matter what port people tried to connect in on it was successful :)

I should add that I use Sygate on workstations.

Also I prefer the security test 'Sheilds UP' at grc.com

F-Secure Firewall here (the one shipped with Client Security)... Otherwise I would use Kerio 4.x or ZoneAlarm...

When I first voted in september 2003, it's a long time... I had Zone Alarm Pro. I changed for Outpost Pro and never regret it. ;) :)
