What does Power Surge on Hub Port mean??

    I get this when I plug in my USB thumb drive and its driving me nuts.

    It said something about upgrading my BIOS. How do I do that??

    You can find BIOS updates at the motherboard or computer manufacturer's site.

    From what I read in those links, I think the problem is your drive is drawing too much power. I would consider getting a powered usb hub and connect the drive to that.

    Where can I find one of thoseo_O I heard updating your BIOS can cause problems so I'm not doing that.

    You can get them in many places; online at sites like amazon or newegg, or in computers stores. Just make sure that it is a powered hub.
