I would like something that is faster than an Emergency Edition. More powerful than hyperthreading. Something able to leap technological advancements in a single bound. Something like this.

Instead of Christmas I have decided to embrace the idea of "Festivis" for the rest of us. An aluminum storm door for a tree and parakeets in a pear tree.

    Regards, big ed

    Thanks for saying that!! :D
Its funny how many ideas you can think of to celebrate a "low-cost" Christmas.

Last year we went to a Christmas show at a church. They had a HUGE tree build where the choir sat in it to sing. Basically if you know what I mean, it's called "The Singing Christmas Tree". It lights up to the music and everything. Its really cool.
Anyway, this year my daughter asked, "Mom, can we go to the show this year were they have that tree and the people's heads are the ornaments." I kind of freaked till I thought about what she was talking about.

EVERYTHING......Thats all I want....Everything.....I'm easily pleased....If I get everything I want, I won't ask for another thing 'til next Christmas, Honest...I don't think that wanting everything my little heart desires is too much to ask, do you?....... :D :p

PS. AND I've been exceptionally good this year as well....... :-*

    CoChristmaschise,

    interesting article by Rex Barker:

Rex Barker here again with "What Next!"
In the race to "out do", "out shop", "out dazzle" our neighbors, we have finally reached a place that to me defies explanation. This past weekend, all of the major papers carried the “news” that the first $100,000.00 gift card was sold by FAO Shwartz in New York City.

Forgive me if I fail to understand how any child (or even family of children) could possibly need this amount of Teddy Bears, Electronic Toys, Barbie Dolls and whatever else is the current rage in the toy world.

Focusing on one’s own comfort and pleasure, when so many families are struggling to provide the most basic necessities, leaves one to wonder what could possibly have “inspired” the owner of this decadent treasure.

Perhaps, I am mistaken and there are plans underway to purchase and donate these cherished items to needy children to brighten their holiday season. But, if that were the case, wouldn’t it have been mentioned in the article?

When we are blessed with good fortune, we must learn to recognize it as an opportunity for giving, not simply for personal gain.

Even if there were not one child in the world in need of a toy…or a hot meal…or a safe place to live…there will always be room to give encouragement, inspiration, and guidance.

This is Rex Barker C.S (Completely Stymied) challenging all of you to look around and ask yourself: What do I have to give that can help another person? Don’t worry that you can’t be as generous as you would like, or that you don’t have time to spare. When it comes to giving of yourself, there is nothing too small, and nothing too great.

Just thought I'd put the thought in his head.
    Plus, you know I had to be the first one to "Call It" to be able to get it, right! {we learned that from our kids!}
