Changing tide in America? Obama has changed his mind on an open internet and seeks tight regulation.

Obama’s endorsement “of 1930s era Title II classification would lead to unprecedented government interference in the internet, and would hurt consumers and innovation,” said lobby group Broadband for America.

If the internet was to be reclassified as a utility in the USA, I would expect it would be considered a major dislike by Americans.

I like #1 on the list a lot. But what I really like is how it connects all of these people together.

We are all connected. If you want to delve into a culture now you don't need to be rich and travel there... just find some Youtube channels.

I don't like the people. As simple as that. Internet is just a tool, but it allows morons to gather in higher concentrations and much faster than before. It's called the Bose-Einstein Moronity Condensate (BEMC), and it occurs at room temperatures. It actually allows you to see stupidity on a macro scale as large blurry objects called Internet users and their associated posts.

I like the information. The golden age of information.

I hate it when search engines become derp. It keeps happening to me but I forgot to mention it. Even the big Uncle Google is not save from this (in fact the worst one actually). The gate of internet my butt! >=V

I believe website design is getting worse and worse. There is a new trend that the top menu of websites will stay visible during scrolling which is bad news for people with smaller screens, think of 13 inch and 14 inch laptops.

So what I still dislike about the web is that there are too many talentless webdevelopers who don't understand the KISS principle. Look at this horribly designed website, absolutely appalling:

I sometimes use my browser's ad blocker to block those menus.

Therein lies the unfortunate downside. Like tossing a lit fuse of dynamite into a zoo cage. The curiosity factor for some is become the perfect tool for mischief and worse consequences for the unwary.

This is indeed an option, but the problem is that you then never get to see the menu in case you do need it. It's not a problem on sites that have a small menu, but on some sites it just takes up too much space. Weird that webdevelopers don't think of this stuff, are they idiots or what?

BTW, here are a couple of examples. There are some sites that hide the menu when you start scrolling, but when you move upwards, then it pops up, it's a bit annoying. And there are other sites where it will stay fixed.

The sites from Yahoo and Emsisoft are a disaster, the top-menu simply takes up too much space. I prefer the one from Sophos and I much rather have a "go to top'' button as a solution to this problem.
