What do you consider the threshold for a "fast" computer?

Where do you draw the line for "fast" x86 computers?

    On what OS? For modern Windows Aero, GNOME 3, KDE 4, etc., "Core2 era or more recent".

    If you want XP Luna, XFCE, LXDE, etc., then it's a whole different ballgame. For CPU's that need those kinds of environment to be snappy, I wouldn't consider fast at all.
