    Hi

I am changing Virus protection after McAfee's Dat file debacle up has wasted a day of my life. I am considering Eset and Kaspersky. I have 5 computers on the network. One of which is a server in the sense that is where my files are stored, my SQL database is served from and my Public Share Folder is served from and no user uses this computer on a daily basis. The operating system is Windows XP Pro SP3 on all 5 computers.

If I go with Eset do I need both ESET® Smart Security: Business Edition and ESET NOD32® Antivirus v4: Business Edition.

    Thank you.

Smart Security includes Antivirus AND antispam AND a personal firewall.

Personal opinion - I'd go for a business license of antivirus (ESET NOD32® Antivirus v4: Business Edition), as that will cover all five systems.

    Hello purpleski,

The minimum license count for a business edition product is for 5 machines. We would recommend using ESET NOD32 Antivirus on a server. You can request a free trial of our business product but with only 5 machines I don't think that ESET Remote Administrator would be overly helpful for you. It is a good tool but more for larger businesses with many client machines to control.

For a simple approach, give our home edition product a try and if you like the features then you can contact us for more information: http://www.eset.com/download/free-trial

    Thank you,
    Richard
