I need to clean a few PC's of virus and spyware that have been infected.

Is the only way to clean them by booting from an Anti-Virus boot CD?

If so, where can I get such a CD?

    Thanks :thumb:

Not necessarily unless the infection is particularly stubborn but anyway a desirable way as you will be scanning from outside of the infected os, offline. Alot of avs now have a free livecd (symantec's I think is tied to the product key) try DrWeb, Avira.

Edit : You could also try a scan with SAS or MBAM in safe mode...UBCD4Win livecd has some nice plug-ins including SAS, A2, Stinger...

Ok thanks everyone. But is there a rescue AV boot CD that doesn't need me to create it? Is there already an ISO ready to burn?
