    But has this all been tested? Do security tools really perform that bad on smart-phones?

    It already has a built in antivirus - see smart manager in settings

    Also android has an antivirus built in with google play , that is scanning your device for harmful applications , see - settings - google - security - verify apps

    But it isnt activated by default, it needs to be turned on (it will need to download some files too).

    Google Bouncer is more than enough imo, unless you are a pirate.
