What Anti-virus are you using... free or paid?

Kav 5.0 paid. I also use f-prot for dos which is free.

well im back to using nod32. this time just trial version.

Avast home. (Since 3 years and no problem...)

 

Paid for both NOD32 and KAV.

 

KAV paid . KAV seems to be one of the fastest responders to new threats .

Antivir free on demand scanner . It don't find as much as KAV but does seem to have a slightly broader spectrum of detected malware .

AVG free on demand scanner . I keep it to determine what it misses and then send in the samples . Other than that I don't use it for anything .

Solo free on demand scanner . Same as AVG .

 

Currently have a paid license to Nod32, will be migrating to Dr.Web anti-virus at end of trial period.

 

Updated once a month

Well sometimes, they update it once per week or more often, but I use it rarely, just to scan suspisious downloads, so it does matter. When it updates, the monitor will send me an email.

Yes, my network is behind a router. There's some protection beyond that at the PC level, but not what you'd consider a software firewall.

 

I ditched the scanners. If you don't see me back, you know the reason.

Desktop - KAV 6 Paid.

Desktop II - AVG - Free.
