    Hi,

I've got some weird stuff happening that I noticed for the first time today. I am not sure what to make of it. Most searches I perform, after the results come up, there is a short delay and then one or two more results come up in position 1 and/or 2. They are ads for either eBay or Buy.com or some other link that mostly is a commercial link of some kind.

I've run Adaware, SpyBot, HiJackThis, and CWShredder. I can't find what is causing this strange behavior.

    Here's my HJT output...

I just noticed something else.... I checked the source code of the Google search results where the two ads appear at the top of the organic search results...

I can't find it anywhere in the HTML code. I've searched high and low. I also copied and pasted the HTML into my Dreamweaver MX program, reformatted the code so it's easier to read, etc. The two links that showed at the top of the results were not there. So it seems some kind of trick is being played somewhere, but that makes it even harder for me to imagine what it could be.

Copy the contents of the quote box to notepad:

    Hit save as
    save as filename: clear.reg
Under the filename set to all types, and save it to the desktop.

Close all IE's, double click the clear.reg
when asked to merge say yes.

Then search for and delete this file:

    C:\WINDOWS\System32\msdhmd.dll

If you get a message that the file is in use, reboot and delete it.
