You never gave a number prior. You just said you keep getting spyware. Have you switched to Firefox?

I have always used internet eplorer, when IE 7 became available I installed it. Some of IE's vulnerabilities have been fixed, and these days I have set IE 7's security settings to an above-average level. (That pertains to ALL zones, except of course the one zone with 'high'/maximum security settings).

I don't think Firefox is necessarily safer, but let's not start the debate this vs. that web browser.

I USED to get a lot of spyware, which is why I bought the Spy Sweeper, which reduced infections by 90%. Ever since I dropped the Spyware Doctor for Counterspy I only got <one> adware program. And some cookies ...

Well your protection still must not be up to par cause I have only gotten one spyware problem in 5 years. I surf this site and that site. Adult sites. I download uTorrents and Limewire files. I have used CD cracks in the past and still never got infected. Firefox with No script plug is alot safer then IE could ever be.

And regarding that No Script plugin: even with IE 7 you can choose not to allow scripts.

Well that's great. But don't you use Comodo which is a firewall/hips?
