I just spent approximately 5 minutes on the phone waiting for tech support and another 5 minutes having them remove the consoles that are no longer relevant to me. Nothing but great customer service with Webroot.

Im confused... whats wrong with it? I just dled and installed... worked perfectly (preregistered). I also double checked the dl link... still works. Something wrong with SharewareOnSale?

    Edit... I see
At any rate, the dl link still works, so it doesnt appear to be shut down.

Palo Alto has been falling behind lately. No surprise they licensed a third party solution. They've barely made some recent NSS certifications, and came dangerously close to failing others.

It's not really anything new to anyone in IT that Palo Alto has been lagging. This is from Q4 2014 for example, as you can see Palo Alto was NOT a strong performer, and then backed out on further certification testing.

I wonder how my Netgear ProSecure firewall would have done if tested. The test results are in extreme favor of Fortinet. I wonder if they sponsored the test. Also, SonicWall was not included in the testing among many others.

That's a summation of tests from: FIPS, AVC, VB100, ICSA, BPR, NSS. NSS isn't pay-to-play testing. The tests are favoring Fortinet because Fortinet earned NSS recommended ratings due to the test results.

NSS is really the one that matters in IT..

Hey guys, I recently installed WRSA-AV and have 2 questions and 1 problem so I'd appreciated some feedback.

Q1: Is there any way to make the GUI (screens) larger?
Q2: How do I 'instruct it' to not protect one of my partitions?

Problem: Ever since installing it (last week) pulling up webpages (IE11 on Win7) is dreadfully slow, notably here on Wilders. Are there any settings that will remedy this? ...or what else can I do (short of removing WRSA)?

    Hello Cruise,

Q1: No there isn't as everything is done in C++ with no added pictures and see what Joe said about it here back in 2011: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2392059,00.asp
Also see here at the Webroot Community: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Id...nterface-search-options-in-lists/idi-p/173488

Q2: Not sure on that one but they are working to exclude a Folder here: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Id...-specific-files-folders-from-scans/idi-p/3300

Q3: We Beta Testers with a BETA Keycode are testing a new Web Filter with a Driver so that's in the works and they are trying to work out the bugs on it still but it is progressing. And if you want to disable the Extension in Browser to stop slow downs and the rest of WSA will still protect you!

    HTH,

    Daniel :)

Daniel, thanks for the reply. Re #2, I'm very surprised to learn that I cannot exclude an entire partition from automatic scanning (protection) ...just about every AV program provides that capability!

yes adding the ability to exclude a partition would be great. i like this because i use a usb drive loaded up with stuff for testing av's and when i cant exclude it temp. the av starts removing things before i get a chance to actually run them for my testing.

Personally I don't want to join the Webroot Community.
I'm talking here, in Wilders, in Webroot thread.
You are a member of both, you have already mention the Wilders in Webroot Forum many times, so it's easy for you to transfer our comments there.

But this is not Official I just do the best I can here for WSA users and ask for some Webroot Staff to come by when needed to. The Bigger Issues or Changes it's best to it yourself at the Community and Everyone can Kudo it that are interested in something like that or other features. IMO Even join the Beta Group and you can suggest all you want in that hidden group with a BETA Keycode: https://community.webroot.com/t5/An.../Looking-for-Webroot-Beta-testers/td-p/175350

    Thanks,

    Daniel ;)
