Recently installed an SSD drive which caused another seat to be used on my three user license. I don't see how to fix this from the Webroot console. In the console I see where to add a PC, but no option to remove PC. Any ideas on what I need to do? Thanks

A shield appears over the WSA tray icon when the browser is "your first screen" in the desktop

Hello go into your Webroot SecureAnywhere Online Console and delete the PC with the old drive to reclaim your seat! Switching Drives or new OS installs or reinstalls you will need to delete from the online Console to always get your seat back!

    Thanks,

    Daniel :)

wrsa uninstall question. I like wrsa, long time user, but was seeing an occasional quirk so I uninstalled v8.04.., I thought. Installed Trend 2015 to test it on XP and it said wrsa was still installed and it tried to uninstall wrsa automagicially, and apparently failed. Then tried NOD32v8, and it also reports that wrsa is my installed av? Then checked some more, and Security Center continues to report wrsa as my av even though I had uninstalled it, and more recently ran WRUpgradeTool which did run an uninstall sequence, says it completed, but Security Center continues to report installed and active? I searched the registry and find "webroot_keys" but I'm reluctant to just delete them as I'm not sure why they're there. I can't go back to wrsa until I can get it fully uninstalled :cautious:

You are so wrong that tool is for the Webroot Legacy Products 2011 and older not for WSA! @simmersK00L Can you try this via Admin Command Prompt? "C:\Program Files\Webroot\WRSA.exe" –uninstall and if it doesn't work try to Type it in as sometimes Copy & Paste doesn't work! Also if that doesn't Contact Webroot Customer Service and they will help you remove WSA. More info: https://community.webroot.com/t5/We...ssing-from-Control-Panel-and-Start/ta-p/34688

    Thanks,

    Daniel :)

"If neither of the methods above is successful, please repeat the steps in Windows Safe Mode"

OT: Congrats on Webroot's awesome performance in the latest PC Mag. review of best A/Vs for 2015 :)

"With top ratings from two independent labs and a perfect score in my own hands-on malware blocking test, Webroot SecureAnywhere AntiVirus (2015) looks pretty darn good. Add the fact that it's the smallest antivirus around, with the fastest scan, and you've got a definite winner."

Quick question for the Webroot pros!

I'm using the latest version (8.0.8.76) on Windows 8.1 x64 (with the latest patches) and when the IE add-on is installed, some pages take forever to load (if I look in the task manager IE is listed as 'not responding'). Disabling the add-on instantly correct the issue.

One page that cause this is: http://www.lapresse.ca/. I know it's not a light page but with the IE add-on the browser just stall for 20+ seconds. I'm not seeing this issue with other AV (Trend, ESET, Norton).

    Any idea?

I just realized that I asked the same (almost) question in 2013... So this is the same issue? Wow... Guess I'll go back to Trend or Norton... This is really disappointing... I've sent a support request to Webroot support.

That's what I'm talking about bro, I know every AV has quirks here and there but something not fixed for so long is not excusable and I've wasted 1 year of my license time already since I cannot use Webroot with this bug. Secondly, I changed my email address and they cannot simply allow me to change my email address in the Webroot console......nooo I have to create a new account, then create a support ticket to move my current license to it. Never seen more inconvenience! They've lost my business forever and when the end of my 3 year license come, I will not renew. Another thing is, any AV which doesn't allow me to whitelist certain folders is no AV. I want full control of my AV not just running processes as Webroot currently allows. Sure, now the Webroot Kool Aid crowd will jump on me saying oh yeah, but it's already in the suggestions list........which will probably take another 2 years to get implemented :D

Ohh, finally, they will tell you that the Webroot Filter is fixed in the latest Beta! I don't know about you but I don't run any BETA programs on my computer, and certainly not a Beta AV even if you paid me

I would definitely prefer not to install a beta version on my main computer but if a fix is incoming I guess temporarily disabling the filtering add-on would not be to much of an inconvenience/issue.

Did they say when the new filter is to be deployed in production?

Honestly Mortal Raptor/maXimus/berryracer (etc?)...I just don't get the point of your ongoing (imho feeble) attempts to exaggerate something, as if it is a widespread (in view of having 30M+ users) and serious issue.
It is simple to disable the extension and its function. necessity etc has been discussed and clarified.
You also should know that most issues/bugs are dealt with promptly, and Webroot's support is very good. And you can also register any complaints or suggestions about the Web Console system, quite easily at the Community.

You may also know that Webroot operates an Online Refund System:
And of all their Betas I've tried (gulp of Kool-Aid :D ) back to days of Prevx 3, I've never experienced Beta versions that are so consistently stable :)

well if their support is so great, tell them to help me change my Webroot Console email and release the darn webfilter fix as a public release and I will change from a basher to a supporter. How difficult is that?

I have some sympathy for Mortal Raptor as I am in a similar position. I was a long term user of Prevx/WSA but am not currently using my license as I too am frustrated by the webfilter and its lack of improvement over a long period of time (I have grown tired of reporting FPs). I have played with the beta (it is moving in the right direction) but won't come back (and I would) until they can show a fixed release version. The browsing slowdowns, FPs and broken webpages cause the users in my household too much grief.

As I said many times we Beta testers with a BETA Keycode are using a new Web Filter with a Driver and it's working well but no time table for release to consumers!

    Thanks,

    Daniel :)
