Just got v188.8.131.52 beta, I think.
No it's actually a release version we will have to wait for a change log! And yes the Beta Channel has it as well.
They just released 184.108.40.206 the other day. Wonder why another release, so soon.
Don't quote me, IE 64bit was crashing and this was supposed to fix it not sure what OS's?
I guess that is why I am not affected, since I am stuck in the 32bit world of XP .
WSA just updated to 5.111. Why did i get a Beta.
i have clients who also got the 111 today and they are def not beta so is this a beta or did they release this out to everyone?
Does WSA causes conflict with 360IS and Comodo FW?
If I intend to install WSA ona machine with 360IS and Comodo FW, what settings should I use?
i had it running with 360 for a while and had no issues. i dont use comodo so i cant say anything on that.
It's been released to everyone but the Beta channel got it as well. Also here is the Release notes.
Version 220.127.116.11 (Released November 21st, 2014)
Uninstall issue on XP and Vista 32 bit systems.
Compatibility with 64 bit Internet Explorer on Windows 8 systems.
Thank you Trip!!
10 points go trip. Another 10 Points go to webroot for lovley security ❤
Daniel...do you leave the security setting on ...medium? High? Max? Just curious since you were discussing settings earlier. I have mine on high...think the set up says (haven't read in a while) use medium unless you suspect a possible infection. I have yet to have any FP's or any other issues with WSA...it just runs.
Always Max since the Prevx days! And are you talking about on the online console I leave it at User Configuration.
OK...yep, the web console. Thanks
I would like to confirm that the 5.111 update fixed the Windows 8.1 IE crashes on all my systems and my customers systems. Yahoo!
Are you using the 64bit of Win 8.1? And if so did you install KB3000850 during November's Updates? If you have can you check to see if your RAM issue is corrected? https://community.webroot.com/t5/We...r-exe-using-up-to-300mb-RAM/m-p/173343#M10637
latest microsoft update on windows 8 X64 bit. fresh installed.
went from 3 min scan to 8 min scan!
Really can you try a clean reinstall of WSA? If using the Beta Link download a fresh copy with that link! Also can you check Task Manager and look at Windows Explorer and tell me how much RAM it's using?
Can you please do a clean reinstall of WSA and Please follow the steps closely!
Make sure you have a copy of your Keycode
KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
Uninstall WSA and Reboot
Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings as you can set it up as you like once it's done
Let it finish it's install scan
Reboot once again
And let me know after a few scans.
That is very odd?
Mine is fine.
as you seen on pic of scan now it got higher when used optimize now.
before it was 3.36
I'm curious. Are you complaining about an increase in 10 seconds for a scan?
Regarding the heuristic settings in Webroot. Besides the default enhanced setting, does anybody recommend the other two heuristic settings maximum and whitelisted?
I have used WSA (and previously Prevx) on Maximum Heuristics for a long time (on several systems), and see absolutely no problems with e.g. False Positives.
I have not tried the "specifically whitelisted" setting.
I would recommend the Maximum setting, or at least give it a try.
Same here I always have it Set to Maximum with no issues. And the one bellow would make it act like an Anti-EXE for unknown programs to the Cloud Database.
