I'm assuming the great majority of users have a 64-bit OS. Meaning that the 'infection' wasn't as news breaking as initially thought.

Since according to an Emsisoft employee. The malicious code wouldn't run if your OS was 64-bit. And I'm maybe wrong but it thought it was meant to target big corporations, not home users.

Sure, indeed you are right on both counts.

But one of the only ways of detecting the signed malware would have been to check and block the malicious outbound connections.

But don't want to get further OT here.

What I meant was you can use multiple outbound firewalls and most of the good firewalls that did the inbound and outbound protection are now gone like Look'n'Stop and Outpost Pro. As we know since Windows 8 all firewalls have to use the underlying API's of the OS Firewall controls as there is noway around it.

It's a pity Webroot can't run next to Windows Defender on Windows 10 like it could on Windows 7.
Malwarebytes added a 'Windows Action Center' option to their settings to address this.

    Hi

Is it possible to add a Webroot Filtering Extension to Firefox v57 beta like in Chrome browser?

    Thanks

It did using a registry change but it doesn't work anymore as Microsoft made changes: https://community.webroot.com/t5/We...ws-Defender-on-Windows-8-Windows-8/ta-p/23058 and I'm not sure if it's on Webroot's list to fix it again.

Giving Webroot another try, bought a 5 computer deal via ebay for £14.99 (about $20)...Still doesn't have a folder exclusion option though, not good.

It's coming but I just don't know when. It's already in the Business version.

    Yes, may be settings.
Or, maybe my observation is related to "delayed action response" that I've read about.

    Or, like you wrote.
    Thanks

Well it looks like you have a bad install as not everything that should be there are missing so please do a clean reinstall of WSA.

    Please follow the steps closely!
    • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
    • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
    • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Geek Squad Subscription PC users click HERE) Let us know if it is the Mac version you need
    • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
    • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and DO NOT import any old settings as you can set it up as you like once it's done
    • Let it finish it's install scan
    • Reboot once again
Please let us know if that resolves your issue?

    Thanks,

    Daniel

My Folder shows for Back Up & Sync as well the Password Manager but you should have most of these files in the PKG folder.

    Hi

After a reinstall the firefox folder is in WSA and its web filtering extension is automatically detected by FF v57b8. There's no need to follow your mentioned earlier link which requires to zip the files etc

    Thanks

I've given up on webroot secure anywhere. No longer using it. Been using it since prevx days.

It is good but needs more work on it. I also think there's too much marketing puff around it.

Please explain what you mean by "needs more work"? In what areas? Also, I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "marketing puff"? Are you saying that they spend too much money on marketing their software?

I need help with this. GUI shows 8 threats and that's it. I don't find anything monitored or in quarantine.
