Well got my answer.... oh well..turned off webshield and al is good

    "Hello,
The only officially supported browsers are as follows:
Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 and higher, Mozilla Firefox 3.6 and higher (32-bit only), Google Chrome™ 10.0 or higher

Any browsers outside of that may experience unpredictable functionality. Even though Pale Moon is based on Firefox's code base, we've expanded functionality within the filtering method that includes driver based filtering. As a result, this narrowed support and functionality for similar but different browsers (such as Pale Moon's).

    Thank you,
    Webroot Sr. Escalation Engineer"

Okay here is the reply to the Firewall Controls for now:

So still only to Beta testers for now as I thought and fully active to a small group (deployment pool) which is very small.

    Thanks,

    Daniel

Very Strange I am not a beta tester - I just downloaded Version 9.0.12.52 and I now have the full granular firewall control on my Windows 10

Yes but the main Driver is still being worked on! Sorry I can't say more but it's not fully active at this point to consumers. We small group of Beta Testers (Not all) are though and it's working very well.

It is active but not fully in the latest release. They are fine tuning the Driver for Maximum Compatibility and Security as it is very difficult for Win 8 to Win 10 as they don't expose the API's for the firewall controls so it's all in the Driver. Windows 7 and older it's working at it's Max and it hasn't changed.

webroot is blocking anydvd from running on a client system. there is a false positive for the elby dll which has been reported for a LONG time now according to the anydvd forums. with webroot installed even if i allow the file it blocks anydvd refuses to actually open. if i uninstall webroot anydvd opens just fine. not cool

I would need the MD5 hash as I have AnyDVD without issues. https://www.redfox.bz/download.html or Submit a Support Ticket and ask them to look into the version installed as it could be different than mine.

I abandoned WSA a while ago due to scenarios such as this. Having to contact Webroot support to white-list a file or manually change to 'Allow' became most tedious.

Switched on my computer yesterday and WSA popped up all brown and orange to inform me that "You (not your:cool:) protection expires soon", "Renew now". Considering that I have more than 4 months left on my license I am not amused. The sys tray icon now has a red exclamation on it and the lock is now missing so I have no idea if identity protection is active or not. I can assume it is but I don't know. This also happened again this morning. A discrete pop-up a month ahead and for the last week I can accept but not this for the last 4 months.

Hello @Dark Star 72 It could well be a wrongly-associated keycode which is causing that problem. Please see this reference to a possibly similar issue seen at the Webroot Community, the solution being to Submit a Support Ticket and they'll sort it for you.

It just might be worth re-entering the keycode in the UI (My Account) section, click Activate, reboot, and see if that may help, if you haven't already tried that.

Anyone here know if Zemana Anti-Logger (I have a lifetime license) would conflict with Webroot AV Identity Shield?

With ref my post #2777 above - it returned to normal on it's own account after 3 days. I have a beta key code by the way.

If it happens again Contact Webroot Customer Service and they keep adding time onto the BETA keycodes.

    Thanks,

    Daniel

    Hi pauldedash

I run WXA and use Zemana as a second opinion scanner. Have never noticed any issues or clash between the two apps.

    Regards, Baldrick

Any update as to when Webroot with full granular firewall control for Windows 8 & 10 is likely to be formally released ?

Are you using Zemana's Antilogger or Antimalware?

The free version might be okay. But the paid Antilogger contains a keystroke encryption feature. And in the past, I have experience issues with Webroot's identity shield and programs with keystroke encryption which are easy to fix by excluding them in the Identity Shield.

Though right now I'm not using either product so I can't confirm any actual issue.
