I think it's great also! :thumb: And you said nothing about the Program or Issues so this will stay opened! Just no Details please! It's not long before it becomes an Opened Beta then we all can say how we feel about WRSA! ;)

    Thanks,

    TH

Yeah excellent program I always wanted to test the PrevX builds but they didn't provide the trial versions to test so its always welcome to test this BETA build. Certain modules are excellent and almost have stable functionality. Good Work team:thumb: :thumb:

Refreshing after all the 'is it there yet' (and I am not suggesting that any of the posters were involved in that ;) ).

Think that the stability may have been somewhat down to Joe & the developers, ably supported by the alpha testing team, and the reluctance to 'release' the product (even to a closed beta) until deemed to be ready.

Well done to you all! :thumb:

In the interests of presenting a balanced view, there have been stability problems on my system and there are one or two features that don't work yet. I will not discuss any details here as it is a closed beta and the appropriate feedback has already been provided (and acknowledged) via the proper channel.

Webroot Support has been excellent and a second build was produced very quickly, which addressed some, but not all of the outstanding issues. This is not meant as a criticism, because after all it is beta software and that's what beta testing is for - to find and report problems.

From what I've seen so far, WRSA has built on the Prevx concept and developed it further. I have no doubt that by the time WRSA is released as production ready, it will be an excellent product, and a worthy successor to Prevx 3.

On the whole, barring one small issue (quickly resolved),this has been an extremely smooth test for me.I'm very impressed with WSA so far.

Although WRSA is really god and will be a must have on my computer I think that they still need to work a lot on this beta, I predict that the wait to the final release will take a couple of months.

It's quite stable and 0 impact on the performance but there are still many features missing, some of them present but not working and some of them basic for a product like this one (suggestions already made)

I hope they will take this release with calm (even more? :D )
And please change the color of the interface, at least two colors and not green :D

Some of these that you speak of will be rolled out as we continue the closed beta phase. I know of one feature which will be "switched on" as it were in the next round of beta testing. Remember, it's not just the program we're testing - we're also testing against the completely revised database infrastructure at the server end, which has been a massive undertaking by the Prevx/Webroot team, and it all needs to be married together bit by bit.

To echo what others have said, it is working well at present, and the future is looking good for this iteration of the Prevx line.

Dealing with webroot is like dealing with Norton Good Luck. I'm not interested in ever buying anything from them.

It feels lighter than Prevx 3 :p (also includes firewall and some other stuff) so I can't complain ehe

Don't forget we are still dealing with the same team as always it's just under the Webroot banner as they are the owners of the Prevx technology and I feel there is no need to come in here and start Bashing for no reason!

Thanks everyone for the positive comments :thumb:

We're on a cycle of approximately one release per week and are planning on the next release going out in the next couple days.

    Thanks again for the testing!

When I look at the product, WRSA is/has everything I want a security product to be/to have. It is just a shame it doesn't work here :D.
I already "apologised" for my "rude behaviour" upon the announcement of the WRSA beta. All the criticism I had at that moment were gone when I saw the product. (I still think it is a stupid name though: SecureAnywhere.) I see the potential the program has, and I am convinced of its technologies capabilities. So I am looking forward to seeing to product work on my pc.

Looking forward to it & hope that the problems I reported are solved.

How can the beta user get hold of the change log?

Wrote to Support when 3.9.1.156 was released but no reply.

This program is very comprehensive; I don't think you will need to use anything else with it! I almost feel naughty liking a Webroot product though.:shifty: I have to keep telling myself it just Prevx, its just Prevx, its just Prevx...

The only bad thing I can say about Webroot SecureAnywhere is that there's logo reminds me a little bit of volkswagens logo. ;)

    Exactly my own experience.

I was one of those filled with dread at the Webroot involvement, but this thing is good...real good.
