I would guess they are swamped with feedback (of course no one could have known this before it happened! :D) and since it goes directly to (the few) developers there isnt' simply enough time to answer all of us. - And by the time now they have probably realized it was a bad idea to not have a closed beta sub-forum as they now can't explain and answer things one time (for all beta testers in that mentioned not existing sub-forum to read) but have to communicate to each one of us separately! :D

But in an attempt to bring comfort to you: No, you aren't neglected alone, same here (and I guess nearly everywhere). :D - And also PrevxHelp wrote me that they would at least read what I write to this oneway inbox! :D

    Hello all,
Just as an update - we've now closed the private/closed beta registrations. Any new registrations will be part of the public beta.

We'll be aligning the public beta with the product sets that we'll eventually go to market with - the private/closed beta users will continue to receive access to early features as we will be phasing them in quicker to the private beta.

Thank you again for the testing and feedback! All of the users who have written into the inbox should have received responses now so if you haven't, please send me a PM with your email address so I can check to see if there is an issue on our side.

There is any way that the beta testers can get access to the changelog? so we will know much better what to test and where to focus our time.

Luckily, I took some screenshots of the original beta release, so I have something to compare with. ;)

The testers receive this version automatically or do we have to download it?

Updated are distributed out on a split scale after about an hour so some people may receive them slightly later but you should all be updated now :)

Any news regarding the Mac version Joe ?
Also, do you know if the Mac version will be in 2 versions as well, like one AV only version, but also a more suite like version? Like the current Win Betas I mean.

    Cheers :)

Join the club, I have received replies to about 50% of my posts.
I no longer submit ANY info.
I will be waiting for the public beta.
Then most posts will receive a reply, in one form or another.

The fault is in Webroots flawed logic.

Let's say for argument's sake, 1000 beta testers report the same issue to the support team.

This means reading the same issue 1000 times, and responding 1000 times, poor time management to say the least!

What happens then is... oh this again, Hmm lets move on to the next response.
Chances are that after reading the first couple of sentences they don't even bother reading the rest of the post, period!
Always the same "crap" being sent, no wonder they don't reply.

IMHO Webroot should have implemented and had a monitored private beta forum.
That way 5 - 10 people would have reported the same issue in the forum and to Webroot support.
On the forum it would be discussed, the other 990 testers wouldn't bother reporting a known issue to Webroot support.

Those 10 posters would receive a reply and the staff would be free to work on resolving the issue reported, instead of reading the same boring stuff.
Yes, after reading the same issue a hundred times it becomes boring, and not worthy of a response. It's that simple, they are only human.
They can't waste precious time they do not have.

The figures I'm quoting are examples only, but it just doesn't seem logical.

It takes time to respond to support, snapshots, logs ect. ect. then not to receive a reply...
On the other hand now you know why you possibly don't receive one:D

The response will that you should be receiving a reply, everyone should be, this is the standard response... the reality however, is different.

JUST WAIT FOR THE PUBLIC BETA, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WRITING TO SUPPORT, THE WEBROOT EMPLOYEES WILL THANK YOU FOR IT.

    What are you talking about?

A Public beta for the AV version is already there at: http://www.webroot.com/customerSupport/betaRegistration.php

Feedback mode however is NOT as you would like. Leave it or take it... you need to follow the webroot policy for beta testing. Help for fun not for feedback rate! :)
