    It goes beyond that, IMO.

    Who are the affiliates?

According to Webroot's page, Linkshare is an affiliate http://www.webroot.com/En_US/about-partners-affiliates.html

    https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Linkshare

When testing an application... and that's not just specific to beta version, but all versions, including stable applications (We always need to report bugs, no?), sure if something goes wrong and if we want this something fixed, then we must report it and provide any info that's pertinent and that will help solve the problems. But, I fail to understand how sending info to a company straightforward about Internet search history, temporary files, etc will help make SecureAnywhere a better application?

Also, how does it help SecureAnywhere by sending such info to Webroot's affiliates, whereever they are... whatever laws are applied in those countries? Somehow, this doesn't reassure me.

I'm failing to understand something in this picture.

I was beta testing SecureAnywhere, and I gave a quick look at the EULA, and to be honest when I passed this part, I guess I associated with scanning and reporting malicious files... Makes sense. But, next time I'll read it entirely. lol I just didn't think there was anything to be concerned about. I trusted it... but... I forget trust is something that's earned and not given away. ;)

A couple of posts removed Please continue with the support inbox as it's still a Closed Beta!

I knew you would remove it, but the problem is that I don't get any response from the support inbox.

Sometimes I don't either! But please don't post your problem in Public! Just say I'm not getting any replies from the support inbox I need help!

    Thanks,

Believe me they read it, you just need to be ultra polite :D at the end of the message and request a fast "Yes I have read it" so you don't feel like writing to a wall.

At the beginning they answered to everything but now they may have some overload so they just read most of the time.

Indeed we are reading everything - the reason why responses may be a bit slower is that everything is going directly to the product team, bypassing the normal support team entirely, so that all suggestions/feedback can be fed through without an extra layer of overhead :)

Mine was quick in the beginning, but they have slowed over the last few. Last one took 5 days, but it wasn't a biggee, maybe support goes by the critical nature of each one?

My early ones were also quick, but they were both minor submissions (one suggestion and one not complete uninstall [leftover driver]), however the last issue I had is a huge one and that one is lasting for a week now. So I installed Panda Cloud temporarily instead.

As with any software, especially unfinished ones, it's a gamble- it may work but it also may crash and burn.
    I'm with the latter group.

It would be great if the changelogs for the new builds could be sent to email addresses which have been invited to the closed beta.

We've had many requests for changelogs - we will be establishing a website for changelogs in the future but at the moment, we aren't distributing them.
