That's a different product entirely (to make it more complicated :)). It is the antivirus version + the system cleaner components to form the "Protection Pack" which BestBuy will be selling on the shelf.

No worries, in fact placebo effect makes me "feel" the beta 8.0.0.40 is a bit smoother, so i'm back on that for a month or two. I mean the rational part of me know it's not really true but the mind is a funny thing and the beta label is better than the renew remainder obscuring the scan button! :D

The renew reminder is going to be removed ASAP as well... that is definitely not what we want it to look like in the product :ouch:

Thanks, because of that the Identity Shield padlock is not visible.

You're exactly right - a very good point. I'll be sure this is included in the first update we push out.

As you've said previously, you'll be updating beta users faster than non-beta users so that kinda makes sense to use the beta build. ;)

I am particularly interested in the Identity Theft Protection but I cannot justify the price of the Essentials version as it is. So I am hoping for a 1-user version.

No chance in the future of incorporating the ITP into the AV version for a small increase in price?

Hi, good to hear that the "Suits" are taking notice of this thread :thumb: & from what you said, they "appear" to be about to act upon peoples wishes :)

Also please make them aware that a Webroot version of PSOL would be MOST welcome :) :thumb:

But, without the antimalware component, or, at least, give the option not to install the antimalware component.

I'm assuming like Prevx 3 that both will be needed to function properly!

    Yes please :thumb:

Actually no ! I've been using FB PSOL for some time without relying on the AntiMalware & URL etc cloud checking, by blocking PSOL in my FW. I don't want/need constant outbounds to cross reference my chosen URL's each time i surf to another www :p

PSOL configured Solely as a dedicated HTTP & HTTPS www MITM/MITB etc & PW/Data protector is just fine for me, & obviously some others too ;) This could be made as a seperate product to the other Webroot ones :) Free and/or paid.

Are license holders of the 2011 Webroot Versions eligible for a free update to the new 2012 versions?

I asked Webroot and they said: "We will be automatically upgrading customers for free in the next few weeks. Each customer will receive a personal email notifying when they’re able to upgrade. We’re putting the finishing touches on a process that will automatically uninstall our older products and install Webroot SecureAnywhere so our customers don’t need to do a thing."

So you can not use your (unused) Webroot Internet Security Essentials 2011 key for new product line? :ouch:

You will be able to when we finish supporting the transition of license keys from 2011 to 2012 products from Webroot. This will be completed very shortly within the next set of updates.

No, definitely not. It's completely different code structure. The old/current codes won't work with SecureAnywhere.

Webroot are going to handle this separately. But, as it stands right now, you can't just grab your WISE or WISC code and download the SecureAnywhere trial and insert your code. It won't work.

Can I get a definitive response for us beta users? I was an invite only beta user, can I continue to use the application? Also, will we be offered discount purchases?

You can carry on using the beta version for the time being as it has been said updates to that will continue to be delivered faster than those to non-beta users. I would suggest, though, that you keep an eye on here and in your email for any further announcements regarding the end of the beta cycle and licencing terms for existing Prevx customers.
