I would like to be running this but... does anybody know of any password managers that work on 64 bit browsers?

Lastpass definitely (I'm running it on waterfox and IE 64 bit now) and I think Keepass if you're happy with cloud based types.

    Cheers

Please forgive my ignorance, but what is Waterfox? I have been running Firefox forever but am not familiar with WF.
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks. LastPass looks nice but I'm not real happy with the idea of cloud based. The Playstation Network hack makes me hesitate to store anything online.

KeeFox for KeePass seems to install in Waterfox, but I have have not been able to get Keefox to connect to KeePass since version 2.16. It will launch it but they never communicate.

Waterfox is a 64 bit compile of Firefox.

I'm using WIN7 64x. Would it be an advantage if I ran Waterfox instead of Firefox? Is that the only difference? Thanks for responding.:)

There are other compiler optimizations on top of the 64bit, which will add considerable speed.

Is Waterfox compatible with most Firefox themes & extensions?

Most of them. Some of the binary extensions are incompatible, usually the ones provided by software vendors. Norton toolbars are not compatible, Sticky Password is not compatible. Everything I got from the Firefox add-on site was.

I installed the WF 10.0.1 and don't see any problems, and my extensions and theme work. It loads pages faster, and is faster on a cold load most of the time. Thanks for the heads up and info. :)

Yeah, Waterfox seems really cool ... wot no British English version LOL!

I have Java 64 bit because I use IE 9 64 bit, do I need a 64 bit flash for Waterfox? YouTube runs fine in Waterfox.

I have found that I can't run this BBC Player in Waterfox as it costantly claims that there are missing plug-ins. BBC iPlayer is fine though. Also, if I open Firefox right after shutting Waterfox down I get the Java Console plug-in tab/page come up. I can open Firefox dozens of times afterwards & it won't appear.

Waterfox is fast though! :thumb: :D

As long as it's lapsang tea I don't mind ;). I re-installed Firefox (10.0.1) from an installer, as opposed to just updating, & the problem with the Java Console tab on Firefox launch has disappeared (along with that annoying bloody extension in the add-ons manager). It never happened with Waterfox.

I saw that there is a FF 10.0.2 update. When I check my WF 10.0.1 for an update there isn't a 10.0.2. Is the update just for 32x ?:)

How do you get Waterfox to auto update? I have to do manual updates since it always says its up to date on the last version. In the Waterfox setting it says its set to auto update but it never does.

I'm not sure, my guess is that it will be updated eventually.

I don't know if it actually auto-updates, in fact I doubt it, it's best to keep a watch on their download page.

    Here

I've only had WF about a week. I set it to check for updates and let me install them. I used FF for years using auto update and I always learned of the updates at Wilders first and did it myself. :)
