Wanted Feature (Feature Returned): Excluding items from wipe... PE8

In previous versions, I believe you were able to exclude specific items when wiping. Items like downloaded components, cookies, etc. Now every time you wipe, its all or nothing.

I would like to keep specific cookies so I din't have to type data in everytime I go to a certain website... I either have to save all cookies, some potentially dangerous, or none at all. This really isn't a bug, but it would be nice to have the ability to have a safe or white lists. Like in the Spyware module, you can select properties and then uncheck items that you do not want to erase.

After completing a scan, you can go thru the lists and uncheck items found. This is an easy work around, but it gets to be less of an automated task if you have to constantly go thru and uncheck items. You should be able to add them to an exclusion list...

This seems to be a constant change with Acronis from version to version. Instead of leaving useful options from previous version or incorporating them into new versions, they just abandon them. It's like several different people are working on the new builds and not comunicating with each other...

Well the title was changed to include (Feature Returned) and not by me. The feature has not been returned. You are still unable to skip certain files when scanning. You still have to manually go thru the list of items found an uncheck items that you do not want erased. For example, the cookie for Wilders Forum is detected after every scan and I manually have to go and uncheck it if I want to keep the cookie. Another example would be a downloaded component for my hotmail account. It’s the tool that allows you to add photos to emails and I would like to keep it, but get rid of other downloaded components. Again, I have to uncheck it in the list at every scan...

I want to EXCLUDE these items by picking them out of the list after a scan and adding them to a safe list... This feature has not been returned...

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

I'm afraid that the current version still does not allow you to create such a safe list. Our Development Team is currently working on this feature, and so it will be implemented in the future versions/builds of a particular product.
