Walmart Patented a Cart That Reads Your Pulse and Temperature The system’s designed to monitor shoppers’ biometrics throughout the store October 9, 2018 https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/...-a-cart-that-reads-your-pulse-and-temperature Patent (PDF): http://pdfaiw.uspto.gov/54/2018/05/024/1.pdf
This explains why one out two carts I select there have some type of wheel malfunction to the point they can't be pushed without straining your back. Or, the fold down "seat" portion's plastic back is busted off, etc. etc. What they should be spending this type of R&D money on is a detector for all the dented canned goods they stock their shelves with.
Well that's nice. Now maybe they can also patent a contractor who will see to it those cart's wheels are balanced. Nothing like having to grab a cart and it's leaning you to one side or the other. You walk it back for another and guess what? That one is equally as bad or just plain rattles. That's what happens when they're overloaded, run around the parking lots all day, and forcefully slammed into the other ones every day. Obvious too they never heard of 3 in 1 oil either. WD 40 maybe?
