Hi, while you wait for a NOD user to help you which, I am not one, you can download this free cleaner from McAfee and get rid of the worm, perhaps in a few days, some one from NOD will help you.

But might as well get rid of the worm, now instead of waiting.

Obviously, you didn't update the database in time. One can't blame NOD32 software for a user not updating at least once a day.

3.: see the remark mentioned above.

Actually, there are some: have a look around on this forum - although that's actually beside the point.

Fact: NOD32 takes care of all variants from this worm - provided one updates in time and has the software configured in the right way. There are several threads in this forum providing proof.

In case you don't feel like renew your license because of the fact you failed to update the database in time/configure the software correctly: that's your choice. Seems like your blaming the wrong party though.

    regards.

We call that Silence of the Llama.. and I do grow fava beans in my garden :D.

The patch for blaster has been available for months. Testing whether your AV is up to the task..depends on when they let you out of your cell.

You can hide behind a firewall..but if your hungry... the Black Hats will invite you to dinner.

Glad your email addy is not showing in your profile any longer. Ass whopping.exe  is not out there in the wild yet but ..but you never know.

Gee. don't blame NOD32 for (1) your refusal to install the MS patch which was available back in mid July and (2) for your failure to keep NOD32 updated properly. NOD updates sometimes three times in one day so you should have enabled the auto update feature. If you want more control, then just tell NOD to ask before updating. The updating is very fast and very simple and no excuse for not enabling this feature. You have yourself to blame for this one. NOD will serve you very well in the future if set it up properly.
