Very cool! Thank you for letting me know. I moved all of that code to a sub that didn't execute until the gui was loaded. So it should be super fast!

Here are the screens that in PM didn't work.

In prev versions (< 1.2.5) VS ate around 8-9% with exact the same settings and ~5% with VS at 3rd line in Tweaks:

Btw in settings, Advaced, first option was disabled by default, the only change I did to settings was to enable it.

Very cool, thank you! So the CPU utilization is good, right? So if you go to Settings / About and click the Default Settings (This will erase your settings and Registration, no biggie), is Automatically Reactivate when returning to a web browser or Email checked by default?

I did a reset to default, now in Advanced the first option is enable, wired how it disabled after I installed the new version yesterday.

Here are the screens after I did the reset.

I made 2 screens because I the first one I forgot to open VS window that shows version, just to be all in the same picture :p

Ps. Yes, before reset, even with the first option disabled in the Advanced window, VS still reactivated when I returned to a web browser.

Oh yeah, I see what you mean, yeah, that was fixed! I was just curious if that option was disabled by default ;). Thank you for your help!

Thanks for the PM Dan. Unfortunately there is no improvement. Just have to wait until you get the services operational.

There must be a fundamental reason why this is troublesome.

If anyone else is using VS with a AMD processor please let us know how VS performs with it.

    Hi,

After every reboot, the shield icon is always on the top left corner.

I move the shield to the bottom right corner, and then remove the check mark of "move shield".

But it still goes to the upper left corner after every restart :doubt:

    What am I doing wrong?

Darn it, I really thought that would fix it. If you have time this week, I can call you and remote in to your computer and see if I can find anything that might be causing this. Thanks again for trying the new version!

I do not think it has to do with the AMD processor, but if anyone else with an AMD is having this problem, please let us know!

Wow, that is odd... I do not think you are doing anything wrong, but this is very odd. If you go to Settings / About and click the Default Settings, does this fix it? This will erase your VS settings and registration, but it really should fix it. Thank you for letting us know about this issue!

Edit: BTW, are you running 1.24 from the website, or 1.25 from here?

I have never seen that I keep mine at the very top in the middle and it stays there.

Not really keen on that Dan.

I have a spare HD which I have been trying out UEFI and concluded it is not worth the effort. So will convert that back to MBR and install an earlier image of Win 8 and see if the problem exists there. If it is still there then do a fresh install in Win 8, but that means downloading .net, though I thought that it was included in the o/s.

It's cool, I understand. Yes, 3.5 is included and active in Windows 7. It is included in Windows 8, you just have to activate it. I believe I set the VS installer to do this automatically, if not, please let me know and I can tell you how to activate it. Thank you!

Thank you, it is working really well for me too. I hope to have the cmd / msi and other small bugs fixed soon.

Is anyone finding any bugs with the latest version?

    I refer to this post

After many failed attempts to install .NET Framework v3.5, I finally got it installed earlier to day.

Yes, .net 3.5 in XP certainly has issues. That is great that it is installed though!

Now, I can load v1.25... but I notice there have been a few different version releases the last few days...I know, because I have them saved.

Maybe this helps for what we talked on PM, I did a sort on date, and I noticed that those 2 errors haven't occurred before VS. The software protection service had almost 300 errors in windows events.

The one that runs the best is the current one, I think it is finally where we want it!

For some reason one of the screen didn't shown in the prev post (#2247) , so I reuploaded again in this post. This occurred after SPPVSC was blocked by VS 30 min ago.
