Does anyone want the name of their dogs added to the poll as a suggestion? The poll only allows so many possibles. I'm taking from the tone of the post that you guys are kidding, but if not then let me know. I had a dog when I was a kid named Chico. He got missing when I was 16. He was part Collie, and part Retriever.

Dogs are the best, huh? How did you get all three of their attentions? Did you have a steak in your hand?

Hmmm, that apparently is not the issue, that is a lot faster than I have. I will look and see what we can do, it should be easy to figure out now. Thank you for letting me know!

I think they are kidding! But we might as well start the poll if you want. Have you tried the new version? It seems to have all of the bugs worked out finally. All of those issues were created when we went from 2 to 4 modes, and then added User Space Protection, USB Protection, etc. And making Auto Activation and Auto Deactivation optional didn't help either.

But we should be good to go now!

How about check for updates 10 to 15 minutes after start up is that possible?

Not to go further offtopic, but I disagree on the toilet bit, our Cats can go and "do their stuff" in their toilet when ever they want, no need to take them outdoors if it's raining or...

But yes Dogs are great. :D Yes TH's dogs looks very excited and focused :)

Is 1.25 the latest build? If so then I had a lot of problems during the upgrade. I had to delete the content of the VS folder in the user profile for VS to work in smart mode. Look at post 2128, and 2130.

I can start the poll a little later today then. :D

Everyone please look at post 2037 on page 82 to make sure I have not overlooked any suggested names for VS. VoodooShield's current name will be one of the options on the poll.

Let me check out the USB in AlwaysON mode... you are right, it should not deactivate. I will fix that, thank you! I will also check what happens when someone upgrades from 1.09 to 1.24 then to 1.25 to make sure Smart Mode works correctly.

How about a recommended clean reinstall? Uninstall Reboot then install the latest and you will have add your credentials again? Wouldn't that be best?

Yes, that is the best solution! Once I start working on the installer again, I will add that.

BTW, I made yet another change to the startup sequence. Do you want to try it? It should be super fast no matter what now!

If so, here it is https://voodooshield.com/freeoffer/Install VoodooShield.1.25.exe

The poll for suggested VS names is complete. It seems the poll was showing before I even completed it or submitted it. It even created 3 polls o_O I had to backpage once to create one more blank slot for another suggested name. I guess Wilder's forum software did not like backpaging during the poll creation at all! I will ask a mod to delete the other threads.

    @ VoodooShield
    Installed v1.25.2174 [post 2174] yesterday.

Running well with EAM 8.1 [beta updates] and Outpost FW Pro and MBAM pro all realtime in Pentium B960 with 2G RAM. :D [actually, I'll probably convert MBAM to on demand to speed up startup] :p

As it turns out , my installed version is already outdated by v1.25.2201 [post 2201]; and v1.25.2219 [post 2219]. :ouch: :(

VoodooShield - Is it OK just to install over the top in this case to update to the new v1.25 beta??

    -well done with VS

    cheers,
    feandur.

    **********
PS: Being a "Ghost Busters" fan I like the image of "Gate Keeper" and "Key Master". ............ With VS nothing gets into the city that doesn't have a pass / approval from the "Gate Keeper"........ sooooo, may I suggest "Sentinal", or "Sentinal Secure".

    :D

Yes, you can just install right over the top, no reboot required (even though it says it wants you to reboot). If you have any problems at all, please go to Settings / About - and click the Default Settings button. Please let me know how the upgrade went!
