Interestingly enough Cyberlock can block most attacks straight out of the box, and you can tailor the auto responses by mode & security posture options, so the 'too many options' do not need to touch if one does not want or need to. But as you say...which one uses is a matter of taste.:D

Yeah i know what you mean about CyberLock...for fun i started to test some security combos with PC Mark 10 free version, to see how different security combos affects overall system performance. While testing Windows Defender+DefenderUI+CyberLock combo, i had a lot of CL popups during the test and crashed PC Mark 10(because of CL asking allow or not or doing whitelistcloud check).
But in terms of system performance while maintaining high level security and according to PC Mark and my personal experience, at the moment, WD+DefendUI+Cyberlock combo is blazingly fast.
It's crazy how the system is so frigging responsive, i was like wtf, did i just get extra cpu cores or what happened...after using Sophos Home. :)
According to PC Mark results, Sophos Home was average 15-20 % slower, which is a lot. Whole system was like in forced slow motion mode(soap opera effect in some TVs). However, i did additional test with Sophos Home. Disabling Exploit protection (aka HitmanPro.Alert), PC Mark results were a lot better and the system was more responsive.
About three weeks ago, i downloaded trial version of Sophos Home. I noticed that it installs very old (2022) version of its exploit protection(aka HMPA), of course i reported it. It took two weeks at Sophos to "upgrade" their Sophos Home installer with the latest version of HMPA(cryptoguard). Sigh.

I guess I'm simply not into whitelisting anymore, that's why I also dumped EXE Radar. OSArmor isn't a whitelisting tool, but it will still easily block exploits and malware that abuse system processes like PowerShell. But yeah, it's a matter of taste.

Yes, I'm not into those annoying popups, I assume they are related to whitelisting. I just don't like the concept of CyberLock. Also, I never had any slowdown problems with HMPA's exploit protection enabled, but then again, I didn't test it for that long. I believe HMPA's exploit protection might be a bit too aggressive, while you can achieve about the same with CyberLock and/or OSArmor, they simply block processes launched by exploited tools like the browser.

I have always run software live all these years, and have survived, i.e. systems have. So, I think I will just keep doing it that way.

I have Webroot installed on one laptop, as you are aware, but it runs like molasses on it.

But, as you have shown me with your guide, I will give it ago and install Webroot on this laptop and see how it goes. However, it is after midnight here, so I am going to bed, now.

I got Webroot running sandboxed. So, to exit I just close the window?

Then if I want to run it again, I just start a new Windows Sandbox?

Yes, the Windows Sandbox is only available in Windows Pro. However, there are supposed to be tricks that you can use to install the Sandbox on the Home version. But it never worked for me.

Dan already told me how to enable it, but I don't have that feature and using it would be redundant since I already have sandboxie and I screen things on second-opintion scanner services like an olympic drug tester.

I also tried both, CyberLock and OSArmor. CyberLock is massively slowing down everthing on my computer... Where i had no problems with OSArmor.

CyberLock strayed from its original vision and has become too bloated and complex, especially with 1+ person development. Even its name is watered downfrom VoodooShield. It sounds like it's an Identity Protection Plan.

Funny...but it is exactly the other way around on my system...OSA is the drain and CL is as light as a feather...so go figure. o_O
