    VS (Smart Mode):
    If i tick or untick this option in Truecrypt: Mount selected volume as removable medium
    and i mount volumes, VS always switches on if it is in Smart Mode.
    I always have Truecrypt-volumes mounted, so basically Smart-Mode in my situation means VS is always on (without running Web Apps).
    Maybe i have to live with that.

    VS (Training Mode):
    I connected my usb-drive, and right after that VS switched to Disabled/Install Mode :confused:

    Yeah, I agree... have you tried to delete all of the files in the C:\ProgramData\VoodooShield directory? Also, what other security software are you running?

    BTW, you are running 3.16, right?

    Hmmmm, very odd, thank you for letting me know! It sounds like Truecrypt and VS are not getting along or something. I will check it out. If you get a chance, would you please send me a link to Truecrypt, just to make sure we are using the same version? Also, what version of Windows are you running? Thank you!

    Cool, thank you! Yeah, after about 10 minutes of responding to your posts, I realized what you meant, but I was already in bed ;). Yeah, when I made changes to fix the Rocket League / full screen bug, there are times when the desktop shield gadget disappears and does not reappear. It will be an easy fix once I can reliable reproduce this. BTW, what mode are you in when this happens? I will test all of the modes, but it will be helpful to know.

    I think we are getting close to understanding each other, sorry it is taking so long. By all means, we want to safely allow everything possible, so it is important that we get this right.

    Ok, all of this is assuming that VS is on AutoPilot...

    Are you talking about launching a file from the command line, or by double clicking on it?

    Are you talking about auto allowing all non-whitelisted items that pass the blacklist test, and are not determined to be unsafe by VoodooAi?

    tested with TrueCrypt & VeraCrypt
    VS (Training Mode)
    = After mounting a volume, VS switches to Disabled/Install Mode (this happens also after connecting an USB-hdd)
    VS (Smart Mode)
    = After mounting a volume, VS stays in Smart Mode (ok)
    VS (Always On)
    = After mounting a volume, VS stays in this mode (ok)

    There is something wrong with the Training Mode.

    An option for the above bold will be good.
    And if that option is selected user will get cmd, script, etc alert?

    Yes, I have used REVO Uninstaller to uninstall VS for a clean installation, same result.

    Norton Security 22.6, HitmanPro.Alert, MBAM Premium.

    Very cool... thank you, I believe it is fix for the next release. I am not sure what I was thinking, but I told VS to go into the previous mode if it is in Training mode, and a usb device is detected. But if it is in training mode, and a usb device is detected, it should not do anything at all, right?

    Cool, we now have the option in Settings / Basic called "Trust the blacklist scan false positive detection and auto allow files not detected as unsafe by VoodooAi in all modes"... it is right above the VoodooAi sensitivity control. Is that what you are looking for? That option should work for most of the items, but only if they are able to be scanned by the blacklist or VoodooAi, and each one is a little different. Anyway, I think that is what you are looking for, but if you have some suggestions on how we can tweak it a little (and still keep it safe), please let me know!

    I think all of those work well with VS... we are getting close having all of the bugs fixed in 10. I know it is working well for most of the non-wilders users that had issues with Windows 10 in the past, but there might still be a small bug or two. Once I see your logs, I will know for sure. Thank you!

    Cool, thank you... I am going to do some testing and see if I can reproduce the issue. Once I am able to reproduce the issue, it will be an easy fix. I kinda figured there would be little bugs like this... I had made a lot of changes to that part of the code.

    Sure, thank you! For me it is working ok, I have not been able to reproduce the error yet, but I will keep trying (I know there is a bug in there somewhere ;)). So all 4 of the checkable options in Settings / UI Tweaks are all checked, and you are running in Smart Mode? Is there a web app running at the time (is VS ON or OFF)? Also, what full screen apps are you using when this happens?

    I opened Netgear Genie while Cyberfox was opened and was prompted to allow "Ver", over and over and over again. Each time I allowed it only to be prompted again.

    Yes, all 4 checkable options under Settings / UI tweaks are selected, and I am running in Smart Mode.

    These are the only apps that trigger this...

    • Google Chrome, only running full screen YouTube videos (Quality settings don't matter).
    • Steam games that run in full screen.

    Yeah, there is a little something up with the command lines, it will be super easy to fix once I can reproduce the error. Did the Netgear Genie come with your wireless NIC?

    Ahhh, that is even better, thank you! I have been running Norton, and so far so good. It will be interesting to see your logs once it messes up again... it should tell us exactly what the issue is. As far as the command line issue goes... I should be able to reproduce it with this link, I just downloaded it, so we will see.

    Edit: Yep, that is the command line issue!!! Thank you, this will make it super easy to fix the issue.
