Has this been tested by an independent organization?
Do you have any plans to do so?

Does this program stop unknown scripts from running?
    Thanks.

VoodooShield blocks executable computer code (programs / processes / scripts / viruses / malware). It will also block the unwanted programs that always seem to accumulate on your computer over time.

Securon, do you use Appguard and Voodoo Shield at the same time?

    Any conflicts? What's your experience?

Is there too much of an overlap?

If you had to run just one of these real time, which would you use?

What do you recommend for an ordinary user like me?

    - sorry Securon, these are genuine questions, I'm not intending to be a Sm**t A*s.

    -have a good day

Good Evening ! Feandur...I've been using Appguard for two weeks and Voodoo Shield for one week...so far their doesn't seem too be any developing conflicts. To answer which one I favour so far I'm intrigued with Voodoo Shield...but as you can appreciate I won't be coming to any definite conclusions...until the end of October. Sincerely...Securon

I am quickly becoming a very strong thinker that this software stops all malware. I have yet been able to compromise it. I like it because it isnt beating the hell out of my files scanning every time I go to them.

Now, I have been able to download a few instances of malware in a inactive state that VS would not no about until they try to run.

I do a nightly scan with Hitman Pro and it found them in their pathetic, inactive, scandalous and putred state.:argh:

    I love VS and HP

I really like the software too, but unfortunately am not able to run it due to high CPU usages (10-20%). Every now and then it drops to 3-5% for a brief period of time but always returns to a high usage. I have tried every version since the first beta with the same results. Since I check out a lot of different security software, VS has been tried with many different setups and combinations. It must be something unique to my basic system that causes it. I hate it as I really like it and keep trying it from time to time hoping something on my system has changed. It looks like it is just going to be one of those incompatibilities that just cannot be found. Maybe with the release of Win 8 and I do a clean install of that, things may change and the problem will go away.

I hate that for you Puff. As you can see with mine, it isnt that heavy and if you compare it to that other screenshot I posted with MSE, my physical memory is also better with VM. Have you sent their rep here a PM about this.

Dan knows about it. I have posted about it through the different versions along with several screenshots of the usage in task manager.

I have been wanting to try this out myself BUT it requires net framework 3.0 or 3.5 I'm not sure which and I refuse to put crap like that on my system

I thought at one time they said they were going to get rid of that requirement
I wish they would cause I truly like to try this program:thumb:

I don't understand why program writers would write a program that requires
bloatware to be on your system to run it:thumbd:

Actually the whitelist snapshot is stored on your computer and uploaded to the VoodooShield Server. If for any reason you need to reinstall your OS, it will automatically download your whitelist so you do not have to retrain VS. And no, it should not re-set itself. Thank you!

Yes, for best results, VS should be installed on a clean system. Most of the viruses we see are randomly named, so these would be blocked. I would just do a few good scans with a traditional antivirus and malwarebytes, then install VS. You can always reset your whitelist in the setting window after you know your system is clean, then you are good to go. Thank you!

Not yet, but we will at some point. We have tested VS extensively and have never had anything slip through. We have submitted VS to several of the youtube users who routinely test different security products, we will see what they come up with. Although, you will notice that in every virus test video, one of the first things they do is to open the task manager. I promise you, they will not be able to spawn a new process in the task manager when VS is ON, unless it was previously allowed :). So I am not sure exactly what they will do to test it, but we are excited to see what they do. Thank you!
