Thank you, we would appreciate that! We have already tested it extensively with malwaredomainlist and clean-mx, along with viruses I have collected from clients who were infected.

We are working out a few more bugs as we speak, but as long your VS is running properly, it should kill pretty much anything. That being said, there are 2 small exceptions that should be fixed in the next release. For example, a few releases back, we found a small issue that if a virus was named svchost.exe, it would run!!! But we have fixed it since then, and it was not an easy fix!

But yeah, we would certainly appreciate anyone who can test the heck out of, and see if they can figure out something that we are missing!!! Thank you!

On bootup receive this error message. Windows 7 32-bit and only WSA running as a security program. Resetting White List had no effect.

Low CPU usage with System Explorer and Windows Performance Monitor - 1-2%
High CPU usage with Process Explorer- >20%!!!!

The latter result may explain some of the past high CPU usage posted previously :doubt:

    Trooper, good deal!

Blackcat, I am not sure what could be causing this, I believe you are the first person to have this problem. Is it only on bootup or does it also happen when you launch VS after bootup? Is WSA Microsoft Security Essentials? VS works great with pretty much all security software, but you could temporarily disable WSA just to see.

We will be releasing the next version tonight or tomorrow, hopefully it will run great on your computer, if not, please let us know.

    Thank you!

    Only on bootup.

This is my second try/install of VS and I am only seeing this problem window this time!

In addition although it says that VS has stopped working, it then loads after the window and does in fact work- a temporary blip?

Will try the new version and let you know.

Yeah, we have a couple of bugs that we are working out. It seems like whenever we fix one, something else changes, but we are getting very close!! Thank you!

Just wondering if the windows 7 64bit issues have been fixed and are implemented in the new release that is coming out shortly?

I really want to give voodooshield a go but will wait if these issues are still not fixed.

Balloon notifications need to be up for a longer time for these old reflexes and remove annoying window which comes up about every 10 minutes when you are in Training Mode.

I'm using with Webroot SecureAnywhere but my only problem is that VS doesn't remember the whitelistings on Win 7 x64 other than that it runs fine!

I use AppGuard and this sounds a lot like it (its a anti-exe) but with a whitelist feature (Which I guess Appguard somewhat has).

How is it different? Can I run them together? Or will I have to get rid of AppGuard.

Also is it still in beta? I just prefer to wait for software to be fully released before testing/buying it.

If you are happy with AG why change? Running them together is IMHO, overkill as they are fairly similar in the end product. Once trained VG is basically set and forget and is better for newbies with less pop ups. Support for both appears to be very good. VS when released will hopefully be considerably cheaper than AG and on par with NVT, another AE.

Yes it is still in beta but appears pretty stable so far;maybe less stable/more buggy with 64-bit machines. New beta out soon.

    EDIT; @Function

Looking at your current set up you are well covered so far, particularly if all that security software is on one machine!

Sounds good, thank you for the feedback. How long do your balloon notifications stay up? The Training Mode prompt is set for every 30 minutes, maybe we should make it 60 minutes?

    Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me, do you think this will be a final release or still a little bit more beta testing?

Hey TH, I am not sure what what mean by VS doesn't remember the whitelistings on Win 7 x64, could you please explain further? We had an issue with that a couple releases ago, are you running 0.96?

I would not run VS with AppGaurd, or any other anti-executable. I am not sure what would happen, but I don't think they would work well together.

I think this will probably be the last beta release. VS has been very stable for around 5-6 months, and it will not hurt your system. We just did not want to start charging people until we had all of the bugs worked out.

No it's same old thing 0.96 not remembering things as the older versions didn't remember what I whitelisted so I removed it and I will test the new version when it comes out! ;)

I want to test out VS but there were bugs with the x64 version of windows 7 but now that these fixes are going to be in the next release I will give it a go and see how things work out.

I don't know if this has already been asked but do you know what the cost will be once VS is released?

That is really odd, I don't think anyone else is experiencing that problem. Has it ever remembered the whitelist? I am sure you reset your whitelist in the settings screen. Please let me know if the next version works! We will release it this weekend for sure.

the mul, yes, I think we finally fixed all of the bugs in this next release. We are planning to sell VS for somewhere around $20-30 per year.

Thanks for getting back to me, will the price be reduced for the first year due to getting 6 months free on commercial release?
