does not seem to be working. Again, it only seems to be a problem with wuapp when starting from "Launchy"program.

    http://www.launchy.net/ <--- software link FYI

I have put VS back into training mode and opened up all programs I use and left them open for a few minutes. wuapp is still blocked.

FF open and VS locked, try to launch Windows update from Launchy but is blocked. FF open and VS locked, try to launch WIndows update from start menu and there is no problem. FF closed and VS off Windows updates starts fine from start menu and Launchy.

okay now its working fine all of a sudden. Maybe I am not familiar with how long it takes for VS to update

Update: restarted PC and its blocking it again

I agree with the other user that mentioned a log of blocked files would be nice

There may be a conflict with launchy. If you continue to have problems, we can download launchy and see if we can recreate the problem on our end.

thanks for the fast support. The only issue I can see at the moment is that i can't start windows update through Launchy, not sure if that warrants your time and effort to fix though haha. I guess I can just run it from the start menu, but yuck lol

thanks for the fast support though

not sure if it matters, but, Launchy starts Windows Update by using a Windows update shortcut in a folder I put all my Launchy program shortcuts in. Maybe that's freaking out VS

You're welcome, thank you for the feedback! VS should be able to learn and allow anything when it is in training. I will probably download launchy tomorrow just to see what is happening, but if it starts to work correctly, please let me know. Thank you!

That is really odd, what CPU do you have? What is the CPU utilization for VoodooShield in the task manager? Thank you!

A new version of VoodooShield is ready for download! Along with several minor bug fixes, we added some features that will make VoodooShield even more secure and easy to use.

If you are experiencing problems with the new version, please right click on VoodooShield, chose Settings, and click the “Reset White List” button.
This will completely reset your white list, and you will have to train VoodooShield again.

It is not necessary to uninstall the old version of VoodooShield before installing the new version.

If anyone experiences problems with VoodooShield, or problems with registering or downloading, please let us know.

Thank you noons, we appreciate that! Yes, we are going to keep it as cheap as possible, at most it will be $30 per year, although I seriously would like to find a way to offer VS for free and still stay in business. Thanks again!

Glad to hear! Anyway it's understandable, software is definitely one of the hardest things to properly price and I am sure its going to be a tough balance. I've never personally looked into it as a developer, but I have used trialpay to purchase a few of my apps without issues and it could be a way for you to offer voodooshield for "free", but still make a profit.

Anyway you guys are doing a great job and I will be sure to spread the word about vs.

Updated fine with no issues that I can see as of yet.

One thing though, when I boot my PC and VS is in smart mode, the icon seems to default to "on". If I then go and choose "smart" again, it quickly changed back to train. If I shutdown in "smart" shouldn't it start up in "train" mode? Seemed like the icon just needed to be refreshed but what do I know..i'm in the shrimping business really

Thank you noons, I have never heard of trialpay, we will check into it! Thanks for spreading the word!

MrGump, hi, I do not quite understand what you mean, but if VS is in Smart Mode and you reboot your computer, it should start in Smart Mode again. If there is an internet browser or email client running in the background, it will trigger VS to turn ON. I hope this helps, if not, please let me know. Thank you!

    Oops!... I am blind! :D

P.S. Presently, I am in a snapshot that does not have .NET Framework 3.5 installed, so I will have to give it a whirl later! ;)

Okay I rebooted to test and it happened again. Here is what happens. Before I shutdown, VS is in smart mode and the icon is red because I am not running any mail or browser apps. I then reboot my PC not opening any programs up. VS is still in smart mode but the shield is blue. I then simply click smart mode again and it goes to red training mode.

Same thing here, but rebooted again and it was correct, Smart mode with red tray icon.

Installed version 0.96 beta over previous version with no problems. Rebooted and it correctly displayed the training mode warning. Switched over to Smart mode and ran some things. Rebooted and one minor issue noted above (color of tray icon (blue in smart mode)). Rebooted again and color of tray icon was now correct (red in Smart mode).

Right-click on tray icon problem is fixed (no need to double right click to open GUI). No other issues noted thus far. Like the new options in settings. The only thing I think is needed to make this program complete is a password option (to lock from children making changes) which I understand is coming. Also a log of blocked items and the ability to add or remove things from the white list without resetting (but also leave the option to reset white list). :thumb:

Now I am seeing that bug too, we will fix that.

G1111, sounds great. Yeah, the new features are coming soon, hopefully within a couple of weeks!
