Cool, thank you guys! I am running late for an onsite job, but i just wanted to reply really quick. Ooops, on the 10 minute training warning, I forgot about that. Basically what VS does is it keeps track of the previous mode that the user selected, and puts it back in the previous mode after the 10 minute warning if the user chooses "yes". I forgot to tell VS that if the previous mode was Training, to select Smart by default, so it is a very easy fix. This will only happen after first run when the user has not yet selected Smart or Always ON, but I still need to fix it. Thank you for letting me know! Darn it, VS just blocked Taskeng again, I thought I had a good fix for that, these last few bugs are being difficult .

 

Just installed 2.03. At first it seemed ok. Switched to Smart mode after a few minutes. Started Notepad which it challenged but I ignored the balloon to see what happened. Notepad loaded and I could use it.

Tried some other programs and none of them were challenged and all allowed to work.

The log started to work but after a few 6 lines it stopped recording anything else.

Using Win 8.1/64. Sandboxie. Avast. Private f/w.

 

Hopefully, just a slight problem....so, I can try v2.03 beta.

I've activated Voodooshield and it says that it's active till 1/18/2015. When I hover over the desktop gadget it says left click to turn off and on. When I left click it says start browser or email to activate product.

 

I can confirm 2.03beta is still allowing executables to run when VS protection is fully on. This is on a Windows 8.1 x64 system. This would seem to be the most basic function for VS so looking forward to having it corrected soon

I am getting popups saying "Would I like to activate. You are not fully protected." But the icon is ON and is in Smart Mode. Accepting the popup it turns the icon off and reverts to Training Mode.

 

I think almost all of the bugs are finally worked out!!! I still have to finish the new Publisher feature and enable the buttons on the Utility tab in settings, but other than that, I think everything is good to go. I will read through the posts later on tonight or tomorrow just to make sure I did not miss anything, and I will respond to anything that I do not think is fixed yet. Thanks again for all of your help!!!

I would uninstall, reboot, reinstall and reboot. And I would probably delete the .dat files from the following folders, just to make sure:

Windows Vista, 7 and 8 - C:\ProgramData\VoodooShield\
Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VoodooShield\

VS blocking new item twice, flashing 6 times and then running and allowing the process, FIXED!!!

Cleaned out VS 1.30 including app data folders and installed 2.04 Beta. So far no problems to report. Outlook 2013 no problems so far was able to open attached files and links. Tried to run 2 files from Internet and it blocked them both. Will know more as I test more. So far so good.

EDIT: Just got home and when I left VS was in Smart Mode. When I looked at the computer the alert was there to turn VS on, when I clicked yes to turn VS on it went from Smart to Training mode. I switched it back to Smart Mode. Again after above, I cannot open attachments or links in MS Outlook 2013. Uninstalling 2.04.

 

Finely got the Beta installed and looking very good Dan!

Yeah, we might be able to do something about that. You can always right click and choose hide, even though I am sure that you already know that. But it would be nice to have an automatic hide during full screen. I am sure there is a way to do it, we just have to figure out the best way. Thank you for the suggestion!

Yep, that is fixed too. Thank you for figuring out that it was the Open As that was causing the problem. That probably saved me 5 hours or so .

 

The VS off alert in Smart mode problem not fixed.

 

I THINK this is fixed in 2.04. It is really hard to say because I FINALLY got it working perfectly in the debugger. But for some reason, my main machine was messing up in regard to this feature, although it is hard to say which version I was running . But since it is finally working perfectly in the debugger, I am going to wait to hear from you guys before I change anything. Thank you!

 

Man, that is a bummer, thank you for letting me know. What is it doing for you? This is quite funny actually, this is one of the easier features to work on, I have no idea why it is being such a pain. Sorry about that .

Hmmm, do you mean you were in training mode and you clicked yes, then it put you in smart mode, so all of that was working properly, but after it switched to smart mode, you could no longer open attachments or links? If this is true, then that is good, and should be an easy fix. But if you were in smart mode, it should not alert you at all, it should just wake up when you move the mouse. Please let me know and we will get this fixed right away! Thank you!
