Hmmmm, that is what Cutting_Edgetech's log looks like. Something is strange here, we need to figure this out.

The process names and the paths do not match up in the user log.

It is working fine on my test machines, is anyone else having this problem with their user log?

Yes, I noticed that was fixed recently, and the dark border was eliminated. It worked on my system, until today. I think if I reboot my computer, it will be fine.

So, I don't think it will be necessary to go back and try the previous version. ;)

I see. But I was just wondering if for some reason if the error from post 2873 came from the dark border fix. It might just be a conflict with Vipre, but I was just trying to think of all of the possible causes.

Even though the log is not correct, is VS working fine other than that?

VS is working fine, other than the 'new look' icon on my system.

Sounds great, thank you. So are you pretty sure there is a conflict between Vipre and VS? If so, I will download Vipre and see if I can reproduce the error and fix it.

Not so sure, but more of an assumption. However, I don't know how you will get the latest Vipre beta, v7.0.6.2.

Good point! Please keep me posted on what you find! It probably is a conflict with Vipre, but I happened to notice that you were running XP, and remembered that I made the dark border change, so I thought I would just mention that just in case.

As far as the user log goes, would you mind clicking the Clear Log button to see if the entries start posting correctly?

I better go to bed, but if you figure out anything new, please let me know. Thank you!

That is great to hear! If you do think it might be Vipre causing the conflict, we really should probably report the issue to them. I will try the Vipre beta this weekend and see if I can reproduce the error.

Cool, thank you. Please let me know if the new entries are posted correctly! Are you still running Virpre with VS? If so, are there any issues?

Thank you djg05 and siketa! It was pretty cool when VS was blocking the viruses in the appdata folder, it made it a lot easier to remove the viruses. So I figured we could just do this for the entire computer. I will try it and see how it goes!

Well, the name VoodooShield won in the poll by a wide margin, so I think we will keep the name. I liked a lot of the other names as well, like SmartShield.

    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=351489&highlight=voodooshield poll

What is it about the name VoodooShield that you do not like? I am curious because I know some people do not like the name. Actually, now that I think about it... most people either love or hate VoodooShield in general, there really is no in between. Thankfully, there does not seem to be as many people who really dislike what we are doing, and hopefully it is due to them not quite understanding what VS is all about.

TH, have you ever seen any weird problems with the user log?

But VS is simply shielding you from the voodoo. I know my Grandmother does not like the name because of religious beliefs, but I think she owns a dirt devil vacuum cleaner ;).

I also not trying to change its name just because of only me or my believe but it is ok I just move on don't worry about me or what I think anyway if they like its name I mean in the forum so be it no hard feelings but if more people start complaing about its name if you are smart listen to other people

Yeah, I agree, there are some people who have an issue with the name. We were hoping that one of the other names in the poll would have won, and we would have a new name. But for some reason that did not happen. It really does cost a lot of time and money to change the name, update the software and website with the new name, and apply for a new trademark. But we also have to consider that if we changed the name, we would have to start over on the branding. We were willing to do that if we had a great name that everyone liked, but since that did not happen, I think it is best to use VS for now.
