    Cool, thank you guys!

TH discovered a small bug, it should be fixed now, here is the latest. I think this one is bug free and hopefully we can release it to the public tonight. I also make a small change that might make VS run even faster and kill stuff even quicker. Please let me know if you think it does!

It will prompt you to update until I upload it to the server and release it publicly, but obviously just say NO.

I just encountered a critical system error. I was informed by the prompt that Windows would automatically reboot in 1 minutes. I saw the VS tray icon flash when I received the critical system error. I checked the log to see what had been blocked, and it said svchost had been blocked. It showed the path as blank. I'm not sure if this was the cause or VS blocked this as a result of the critical system error. Also before that something called smss was blocked by VS, but the path for smss is also blank.

I just installed VS, and Appguard a few minutes ago. I rolled my Laptop back again with an image I just made 2 days ago. I have NOD 32, VS, and AG installed. This is the first time I have seen a critical system message like this.

I think I just discovered the problem. I just discovered a bug with Appguard. Appguard removed all the exceptions for other applications I had defined. When I entered my license it removed them all which most likely caused a conflict with AG, and VS. I'm worried it may have caused damage to my system. I must have really bad luck!

Yeah, I am surprised that they work as well as they do together. I have not tried it myself, but apparently they usually work pretty well together. I am curious why you are getting blank paths in the log, I have not had any since I refined it a little. The blank paths should go away completely when the service is obtaining the path. Thank you!

I was wondering the same thing myself. Maybe AG blocked some of VS's functionality preventing it from obtaining the path.

It's doubtful that AppGuard is responsible for this. I have seen blank path names added to the whitelist while AppGuard was disabled. Hopefully, as Dan said, running VS as a service will resolve this.

My log doesn't have any Blank paths as I did a clean reinstall of the release of 1.27 and remove the online Whitelist.

The blank paths issue only happens on some systems. The exact cause is as yet undetermined. In my case, it happens if the path name contains an ampersand, although Dan was unable to reproduce this himself. I too did a clean reinstall of 1.27 and removed the cloud whitelist in order to test this. It will be interesting to see if running VS as a service resolves the issue.

Yeah, I am not sure what is causing this, and running the engine as a service really should fix it. Ever since 1.09, which was just over 2 months ago, all of the paths on my 3 systems have been great. I doubt AG would cause this as well, but it is hard to say. If you happen to disable AG and all of the paths are great, please let me know. Thank you!

First of all thanks for this great program. Today after the latest update and for the first time I try to add FoxitReader to the processes that enable Smart Mode.
I press Save and Close and when I open again the settings window the entry is gone. Am I doing something wrong or what?

Thank you, we appreciate that! I just downloaded foxitreader to see if I could get it to work. I entered "foxit reader" (without the quotes) and it works for me. Are you adding this to "Custom Programs that Activate VS"? It should save it and work fine in version 1.27, if not please let me know. Thanks again!

Sounds good, thank you for letting me know. BTW, the blank paths do not hurt anything, but little things like that drive me crazy, so it will be fixed soon ;).

VS is still blocking executions, and leaving the path blank. VS blocked spmservice, but the path is blank. I was creating a shortcut on the desktop for Windows task Manager when VS blocked spmservice. Dan, can you see if you can reproduce this? I was in always one mode, but i'm not sure it makes any difference.

I believe I did see some blocked events in the event log where AG had blocked something from VS, but I was not able to see what exactly. After I received the critical system error I did not have much time to work with. By the time I had realized that AG had removed all of my customized settings Windows was about 20 seconds away from rebooting, and I was trying to finish taking screen shots.

Sounds good, please let me know if you figure out anything else. I might try to download AG at some point and see how well the combo works on my system.

Appguard, and VoodooShield have worked well together for me until now. I'm not sure what the change is that lead to this strange unstable system behavior i'm seeing. I trained VoodooShield for over 12 hours so it should not be blocking Appguard, but it is. It is not only showing the paths as blank, but it is also giving the wrong paths. Look at the screen shot below, and pay particular attention to what I marked in the log file with the red box. Do you see something very strange about that o_O

Shortly after this I got a remote procedure call error. Explorer.exe stopped working. I tried clicking on Computer, and that gave me the remote procedure call error shown in the screen shot below.

Where are the detailed logs that VS produces that I can send? Do I have to enable them first? If you don't hear back from me right away then you will know my internet is out. I've had very little internet access in the past 24 hours. There sending someone out to look at the lines tomorrow for the hundredth time. They always come here even though the problem has never been here. Its hard to get anything done.

I just unticked synchronize, and backup my whitelist to the cloud. I'm going to see if that helps since my internet is very unstable at the moment anyways. I don't know how that would cause the blank file paths, incorrect file paths, and odd blocking of Appguard though.

Bad news. Unticking synchronize, and backup my whitelist to the cloud did not help at all. I just had VS block 3 different processes at the same time. VS blocked isbmgr, explorer, and igfxpers. Windows started shutting down as though it was going to log me out, and it recovered at the last minute. VS tray icon started blinking millaseconds before it happened. I had this happen also right before I rolled back my Laptop to Factory State. I guess it must have been VS then Also.

Well, I want be able to use VS for a while. I continue to have system instability. Did you release more than one version of 1.27? It worked good for a short period. I had to roll my Laptop back once, and every since VS has gone nuts each time I reinstalled it. I will copy the appdata folder, and programs folder in case there is some files you need from them. I may have to wait until VS is run as a service, and try it then.
