@longshots I resigned from all translate inbuilt modules and /or extensions and started using the desktop DeepL https://www.deepl.com which among other features also allows easy translation within browsers. I especially like the option translate as you write, i.e. you write in one language, then you select the text and Ctrl+Win+C translates it into the desired language. The quality of translations is unparalleled, it easily beats Google translate.

Thanks for that. I run Linux so am limited to the browser extension, but that works very well - every time.

    Yes, thanks for mentioning DeepL.
Some years ago, I saved the URL but had forgotten about it.
I tested the online version (not the application or the add-on) and it works very nicely indeed.

@longshots @Stupendous Man You're welcome! I also started with the online version but eventually ended up with the desktop due to the usage variability. The shortcuts work in any Win app.

Just a heads up, I upgraded from Vivaldi 5.6 to Vivaldi 6.1, because 5.6 was acting weirdly on certain websites. Turned out that upgrading to 6.1 made things worse because it started crashing quite a lot. But the solution was to simply reinstall Vivaldi, because apparently continuously upgrading might eventually cause data corruption. So Vivaldi is running just fine now, no more stability and performance issues (high CPU and RAM usage).

I came across this article, I didn't have a clue that Opera was this successful, apparently it had a revenue of $331 million in 2022, quite impressive. And now it's also portraying itself as an AI company, which is the newest trend to attract investor attention. And I didn't even know it was listed on Wall Street. Let's hope that Vivaldi also does quite well.

I might test ViValdi again sometime in the future and hopefully they improve it and not knock something out of alignment that drives users away like it did for me.

On W11P latest Vivaldi. On MajorGeeks under every program they have screenshots. Whenever I click on a screenshot it downloads the jpg instead of opening it. How do I fix this?

Same here with edge. The problem is in site, not in browser.

It's downloading screenshots both on Edge and Firefox for me, so the problem is the page, not the browser.

Give it a go, and I advice you to install it as a standalone version. I don't have any major issues with it anymore after reinstall. When it comes to tabs and bookmarks management, it's the best out there. I'm not that happy with the current implementation of Workspaces though.

Good suggestion. I use most my apps as this in Standalone functionality. Saves so much work if anything goes awry.

Yes, I believe it's sort of the same as portable apps, haven't got a clue why Windows wasn't build like this in the first place. All apps should have their files in one folder, which you can then simply copy and paste anywhere you like, and it will continue to work. So the files shouldn't be scattered everywhere.

Ok weirdness again. Google Voice was working perfectly in Vivaldi. Then there was no sound in GV. I installed Chromium & GV works perfectly again. What's causing this?

Edit: Now GV is working again in Vivaldi. I didn't do anything except load Chromium Portable. So Idk.
